Royal Enfield Classic 650 Latest Updates
Royal Enfield has filed a trademark application for the Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin, know more about it here. Moreover, the brand is set to launch six new bikes in India soon! The Classic 650 was spotted testing again and the spy shots revealed its exhaust note. The upcoming Royal Enfield bike was also spied testing previously alongside the Royal Enfield Scrambler 650.
The Royal Enfield Classic 650 will essentially be the bigger version of the Royal Enfield Classic 350. It seems to feature a similar styling as the Royal Enfield Classic 350 with the headlight nacelle, teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a split-seat setup. The Classic 650 has dual peashooter exhaust. It provides an upright riding stance, thanks to the mid-rise handlebar and mid-set footpegs.
Based on Royal Enfield’s 650cc platform, the Classic 650 shares its engine with the Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650. The BS6.2-compliant 648cc, air/oil-cooled, parallel-twin engine produces a peak output of 47PS and 52Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. However, we could expect a slightly relaxed tuning on the Classic 650.
It is expected to launch sometime between August and October 2024, with an expected price tag of Rs 3.2 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The bigger sibling of the Classic 350 will be based on Royal Enfield’s 650cc platform

A powerful Ride with a Modern Twist
After months of waiting, I finally got my Royal Enfield Classic 650. The bike's classic design mixed with modern elements caught everyone's eye. Powered by a robust 648cc parallel twin engine that delivers about 47 horsepower and 52 Nm of torque, the bike offers a smooth yet powerful ride, which is perfect for both city streets and long highway stretches. The throttle response is crisp and the ABS gives an added layer of safety, crucial for Indian roads. However, I did notice that the bike can feel a bit heavy specially in tight, congested areas at around 200 kg.
