The design is also upmarket and feels befitting for these cars. Spacious cabins, advanced infotainment systems, and meticulous details like expanded AC vents ensure a comfortable and connected ride. You also get plenty of features to play around in these cars.

Tata Safari Features

Highlights include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a crisp 10.25-inch digital driver’s display. They pack in plenty of vital stats, have plenty of customization options, but this one is our favourite. If you’re using Google Maps or Apple Maps via your smartphone, you can relay the navigation on to the driver’s screen, which is super cool!

Other features onboard include dual-zone climate control, powered front seats with ventilation, panoramic sunroof, multi-colour ambient lighting and a wireless phone charger.

Rear seat occupants have also been given plenty of convenience kit. You get rear sun blinds to protect yourself from the harsh sunlight and prying eyes. There’s a USB Type-C charger to keep your device topped up and in case of the Safari six-seater, ventilated seats to keep you back cool!

Tata Safari Safety Features

Safety is paramount for Tata Motors, and this reflects in the Harrier and Safari's stellar 5-star safety ratings both in Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP. This mainly boils down to the reinforced body structure and safety features like up to seven airbags (six as standard), ABS with EBD, and electronic stability control, these SUVs prioritise passenger protection on every journey. Also, Tata Motors has their own in-house crash testing facility, ensuring their vehicle’s are put through a stringent number of tests to ensure top notch safety.

Additionally, advanced driver assistance systems such as forward collision warning and adaptive cruise control enhance safety, providing drivers with peace of mind during outstation trips.

Tata Harrier Engine

But what about performance? We took to the road to find out. The potent 170 PS 2-litre diesel engine delivers robust power, whether navigating urban streets or embarking on highway journeys. To ensure a comfortable driving experience, both the Harrier and Safari come with a 6-speed torque converter automatic that delivers smooth and quick shifts.

Tata Harrier Driving Modes

With driving modes like Eco, City, and Sport, drivers can tailor their experience depending on their mood. And if you intend to take the Harrier and Safari off-road, there are three terrain modes – Normal, Rough And Wet – that alter the engine’s and electronic stability control mapping while taking these cars through beaten paths.

Then there’s the handling, which inspires plenty of confidence behind the wheel. This is mainly due to the introduction of the electric power steering, which makes them easy to manoeuvre in town, is direct and offers decent feedback on highway speeds. Combine that with a plush suspension setup that can take a good beating on our goods and offers solid handling on highways, you have two SUVs that are great highway mile munchers.

Tata Harrier and Safari

In essence, Tata Motors' Harrier and Safari transcend the realm of ordinary SUVs, embodying a fusion of innovation, safety, and luxury. With their captivating designs, advanced features, and impressive performance, it's no wonder they've earned acclaim as India's premier flagship SUVs.
