The Volkswagen Taigun is a mesmerising, four-wheeler model, whose advanced design and structures blend beautifully with the new times. It provides quite a decent mileage and is well-suited for ventures of all kinds. I like its stability and the established driver control system. This model is very well-equipped with safety measures that ensure a safe ride for its passengers.i highly recommend this to anyone who has the same purposes as mine.

Volkswagen Taigun: Compact Yet Mighty
The Volkswagen Taigun has been my companion for the past few months and it has been an interesting ride. Its compact size coupled with a robust engine makes it a fun car to drive around the city. The interior space is surprisingly generous, offering comfort not just for the driver but all passengers. However, the ride quality on rough Indian roads can be a bit harsh and noise insulation could have been better, to keep the road and traffic noise out. And while the Taigun packs a punch with features, the price point can be a bit steep for the segment it’s in, making potential buyers think twice.

Volkswagen Taigun is one of a kind that suits perfectly and seamlessly into the category of an ideal car. I got this for a very decent price and my buying experience was pleasing. The exterior is bold yet beautiful and interior has smooth functioning and comfortable. I use this vehicle for all my needs and purposes and it is now a part of my daily commute. I suggest this model for others too.

Accelerationpower delivery
4.7
Driven 58000km in 20 months.Acceleration power delivery is linear, Car feels planted at three digit speeds too.The grunt of the tsi engine is absolutely addictive.I own the 1.0 mt, Have never felt the engine to be insufficient except on uphill hairpin curves when in 2nd gear at lower than 1800rpm when there is a need to shift to 1st gear.Driven on a light foot, The vehicle returns great economy.Overall i get around 14-16kmpl with a city-highway usage of 40-60%.Brakingdespite the rear having drums, Braking is quite good.Never had any heart stopping moments so far with braking. But after driving long distances of over 500km at a stretch the brake makes an uncomfortable grinding noise.Vw are yet to determine the cause.I’ve had to replace the brake pads twice so far.Once at 30000km and then again at 45000km.But the second time i think i was made to change it prematurely. Will update after the next service at 60000km.Comfortalbeit a stiffer suspension, Comfort levels are good for most part.Only on very bumpy roads or bad stretches, A more plush ride is missed.Wish vw allowed to increase sidewall width under warranty.I changed tyres at 50000km.Was not very happy with the stock goodyear assurance tripplemax.Went for the ceat securadrive in oem configuration.Dynamicsdespite being a compact suv it is a nimble navigator. You can take corners with confidence.Minimal body roll as well.I absolute love driving the taigun in the ghats. My favourite being mysore-mangalore- goa trips.Overtaking is a breeze with the nice torque band available. The manual transmission makes all of this all the more enjoyable.Eco friendlylessnot as good as an ev, But not as bad as a diesel.Mine being my22 model supports e10 blend petrol, Recommended is ron 95 but minimum of ron 91.I use 91 most of the time except when going on road trips when i use ron 95 petrol (xp95).But from my23 the cars are e20 compatible and also come with an auto stop-start system.Fuel economy as mentioned earlier i’m really happy with the economy.I am a sedate driver most part of the time.In mysore city i get around 13kmpl within city limits.Out on the highway with cruise control set at a comfortable 90kmph i get around 18kmpl with the ac set at 24degrees celsius.Verdicti’ve been a happy customer with the vw taigun so far.Have not had any major issues. But the yellowing of the drls this early was a minor let down. This car will appeal to people looking for a compact suv with good driving dynamics and fuel economy without compromising on safety (gncap 5 star for adult and child safety). But i do agree it’s not as big as the creta or seltos.

Volkswagen Taigun Pros and Cons
Taigun Positives Points: Punchy petrol engines deliver good performance, comfortable interior for 4 occupants, enjoyable driving experience for enthusiasts, proven crash safety rating of 5/5 stars from Global NCAP
Taigun Negatives Points: Average interior fitment quality, not very fuel-efficient in heavy traffic use
Zigwheels Expert's Conclusion : While the Taigun may not feel like a step up for Polo owners it still delivers as a well balanced, punchy, and safe compact SUV.

I had the same concern as
4.0
I had the same concern as many vw taigun owners regarding the lower engine capacity (1.0l).However, After driving it for almost 2k kilometers, I am satisfied with its performance. The car is well-planted into the road, Giving drivers much-needed assurance and a safety feel. The car feels underpowered at below 1800rpm, But once it crosses this range, It effortlessly pic-up at any terrain. The interior looks okay, But the quality of fit and finish is not 100%, But it is not a deal breaker.Overall a decent purchase!.
