Expert's Conclusion
The Vespa ZX is a fun and stylish 125cc scooter that comes with the absolutely stylish and timeless Vespa design language. If you’re looking for an authentic, retro scooter, the most affordable choice among Vespa scooters is the Vespa ZX. But the price tag of Rs 1,18,490 (ex-showroom) is steep considering its rivals are available at a much more affordable price with much more features.
Vespa ZX Expert Review
The Vespa ZX, with the classic Italian scooter styling, is a good mix of retro styling and modern technology and features. But does the scooter have more to offer than its good looks? Let’s take a look:
Design
The design of the Vespa ZX is classic and timeless. It comes with chrome elements throughout, paying homage to Vespa's rich heritage. With a round headlight, excellent fit and finish, and vibrant colour options, the Vespa ZX grabs attention wherever it goes.
Engine, Performance and Mileage
The Vespa ZX is powered by a 124.5cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 9.92PS at 7,500rpm and 9.60Nm at 5,500rpm. The three-valve setup ensures there’s adequate performance without pushing up costs . The engine is powerful enough for city commutes, and can handle the occasional highway stints as well.
Handling and Ride Quality
The Vespa ZX is built on a steel monocoque frame, which ensures the chassis is responsive while cornering as compared to a traditional underbone frame. The leading link front suspension is designed in a way to minimise dive while hard braking. It has got adequate stopping power thanks to the 200mm front disc and a 140mm rear drum.
Comfort
The seat cushioning is decent, and the riding posture is upright, enabling you to enjoy your daily commutes. However, the floorboard is not completely flat, so you may not be able to keep large luggage on the floorboard with ease.
Features
The Vespa ZX isn’t feature-rich at all. It gets a semi-digital instrument cluster that gives readouts like a speedometer, fuel gauge, odometer, tripmeters, and a clock. Other than that, it comes equipped with LED lighting, an underseat storage lamp, lockable glove box, and a convenient USB charging port. There’s no turn-by-turn navigation, something that quite a lot of other 125cc scooters have.
Should You Buy The Vespa ZX?
The Vespa ZX is a fun 125cc scooter with classic Vespa styling. If you want a properly retro scooter with Italian badging, that too on a budget, the Vespa ZX ticks all the right boxes. It may not have as many features as other 125cc scooters, but manages to compensate with its attention-grabbing looks, reasonably good performance, and comfortable ride quality.

Vespa ZX: A Touch of Classic Charm
I recently bought the Vespa ZX, drawn in by its retro styling and the promise of a smooth ride through the bustling streets of my city. After a couple of months on my sky blue beauty, I am mostly charmed. The ZX model boasts a 125cc engine that's fairly powerful for city commuting, achieving a top speed of about 90 km/h. It delivers an average mileage of around 45 kmpl which is decent but I had hoped for better fuel efficiency. The aesthetic of the scooter is its main selling point for me, it stands out with its vintage European flair.

experience the luxury
Vespa ZX 125 is our family member from past 2 months . It is a stylish and affordable 125cc scooter that offers a blend of classic Vespa design with modern features. It comes in a variety of colors to suit different styles. The Vespa ZX 125 is a perfect choice for riders seeking a stylish, comfortable, and affordable 125cc scooter for everyday commutes. Under-seat storage space might be limited compared to some competitors, especially if you use a larger helmet.

Solid build quality
The look of Vespa ZX is nice and the fit and finishing of this scooter is very good with good build quality but the spare parts are not available everywhere. It comes with the combined braking system and is a retro style scooter that looks very unique and different but the price is very high and the mileage is very low. The performance of this scooter is good and pickup is also good but the maintenece is high. The handling of this scooter is good and gives good stability at high speed.

The scooter captures the vintage Vespa vibe
Riding the Vespa ZX feels like taking a trip but with the heart of modern machinery. The scooter captures the vintage Vespa vibe effectively with its classic design, running on a competent 125cc engine that churns out nearly 10 PS power. The seating is better than some of its siblings and the scooter generally provides a smooth ride in urban settings. The fuel economy is around 45-50 kmpl, making it somewhat feasible for daily commuting though not the best in class. One considerable downside for me was the absence of a disc brake in the standard variant, which affects braking efficiency compared to other models in the same lineup.
-
Nice but limited smart features
The digital instrument cluster and LED lighting that are being equipped with the its image of attractions characterize the advance feature of it. While some passengers expressed some concern on seat comfort for the long rides and fuel efficiency for long trips, they believe improvements will be incorporated later.
