My father owned Ather 450S it is an electric scooter known for its balance of performance, affordability, The Ather 450S gets a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor . The Ather 450S offers a claimed range of 90 km on a single charge. It offers comfortable seating for two passengers. Talking about the safety so it lacks in the ABS technology which is a major drawback of this scooter. It offers a decent claimed range and multiple charging options.

The design of Ather 450S is sharp and futuristic design and the claimed range is around 115 km with the top speed is around 90 kmph but the charging time is high. The flat floorboard comes with the good spacing and the features it provides is very decent and the boot space is good but the seating space is not that good. The power of this electric scooter is good and the handling is very good and the handlbar is very good with good seating position and the real world driving range is around 80 to 90 kmph.

Driven 20000kms in ather 450 the first version released in 2019.Gives almost 90 percent of promised even after 4 years.Build is average.Plastics feel cheap and filmsy.Easily prone to scratches.Motor gives whizzing noise although sounds cool like jet engine for first few months but after some point of time it becomes irritating.Dogs in the night may bark because of noise.Seats are bit uncomfortable.So does the mirrors they are of no use at all.

450S Positives Points: Engaging performance; Brilliant handling; LCD console's readability is excellent

450S Negatives Points: Looks the same as the 450X; A bit cramped for tall riders; Less underseat storage

Zigwheels Expert's Conclusion : At Rs 1,29,999, the 450S is a more affordable alternative to the 450X. And in order to achieve that price, Ather has changed just the right things over the 450X, while retaining all the good bits.
