The Jaguar XK120 succeded the SS 100 Jaguar sports car and was produced from 1948 to 1954. As was the norm with cars of the time, the '120' referred to the car's top speed, 120 mph (193 kmph) which made it the world's fastest standard production car at the time of its launch. It featured a 3.4 liter straight six engine which produced 218 PS of power and propelled the car to 100 kmph in ten seconds.
