Hyundai Motor India organised a customer connect initiative in the form of a ‘Paint and Win’ contest held in all 323 Hyundai dealerships across the country during the month of June. The contest was open to the public at large and not just Hyundai customers. Over 10,000 children participated in the event. Every participant received a Verna branded T-shirt. Prizes were awarded at weekly, monthly and Grand National Prize. Each week 969 winners were picked and given a certificate of merit. 3876 winning entries were selected at the end of the month long contest out of which 960 best entries were picked. Thirteen winning entries were then picked who got an expense paid trip to Hyundai’s Chennai manufacturing plant.
Here is what some of the bright eyed children had to say, “I can’t believe that I am actually visiting the Hyundai Plant! It is so fascinating. The entire experience has been magical. I am going to go back to school and share the experience with my friends. I am sure they will be jealous!” said Vikash Thakuria from Guwahati.
“Coming to Chennai and visiting this fabulous plant has been an experience of a lifetime. I will remember this for a long long time. Thank you Hyundai for giving me this exclusive opportunity” said Somya Purohit from Dehradun.
“I am elated with this visit”, said Shilpa Sivaraman a participant from Trivandrum. “This is truly a dream come true. I feel privileged to see how a car is made. This is one of the best visits of my life.” She added.
Vice President Production, Mr. T. Sarangrajan congratulated the awardees and urged them to open their minds and dream unfettered. He was happy to award the extremely talented young children and said that the company was always looking out for fresh talent. The awardees were honoured with a National Certificate of Merit. The words of the pleased and happy children have managed to create a positive brand image for Hyundai amongst the mind of child and parent alike.
