Scania delivers 150th tipper truck to BGR Mining

Swedish truck and bus maker, Scania Commercial Vehicles India Pvt Ltd, has delivered 150th Scania P 410 8x4 Tipper to one of India’s largest mining contract companies, BGR Mining and Infra Private Limited of Hyderabad. Scania’s partner for off-road truck segment - Larsen & Toubro (L&T) facilitated this transaction. The Scania tipper is fitted with an 18.8 cubic meter, rock body and come equipped with two pedal Opticruise, a fully automated gear-changing system for improved fuel efficiency which helps in driving.

Hyderabad’s BGR Mining & Infra Private Ltd. is a prominent mining company of India having extracted OB and coal of more than 4,000 millions of cubic meters over the past 20 years. After some rigorous testing by BGR Mining, the company placed further order for the tipper in less than six months. With this order, BGR Mining will now have a band of 150 Scania P 410 8x4 tippers in their existing fleet.

Scania is establishing a complete service and dealership network in the country, starting from the Southern and Western regions, and will expand to other geographies. In addition to the dealer support, Scania also claims to offer service vans which guarantee service support to customers within two hours of fault reporting. Besides this, the commercial vehicle company also offers a complete driver training programme since drivers play a key role to achieve superior Total Operating Economy. Other additional service that Scania offers is Fleet Management Service (FMS).
