The Suzuki Gixxer has been a great success for the Japanese two-wheeler giant in our two-wheeler market. The bike has been welcomed warmly both consumers and auto journos alike and it was also the winner of the 2015 ET ZigWheels Bike of the Year award. Suzuki has now introduced the Gixxer in dual colour options to make the 150cc bike more appealing. We spotted the new dual tone Suzuki Gixxer at a dealership in a shade of white and red.

According to the dealers more dual tone colour options for the Suzuki Gixxer will be introduced soon. The new dual tone Suzuki Gixxer will carry a Rs 1,500 premium over the standard solid colour option. No changes have been made on the mechanical front on the dual shade Suzuki Gixxer. The front mudguard, fuel tank extensions and the grab handles are finished in the highlighting colour. Powering the Gixxer will be a 155cc single-cylinder, air-cooled motor which is expected to be capable of producing about 13.9PS peak power and 13.4Nm of maximum torque. The air-cooled petrol engine comes equipped with Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) system which helps in improving its fuel efficiency.

unlike the Suzuki GS150R which comes with a 6-speed gearbox, the Suzuki Gixxer employs a 5-speed gearbox to transmit power to the rear-wheel. The Gixxer's braking duties are handled by a single disc setup from Bybre at the front and a drum setup at the rear. The bike also sports a 100/70 section 17-inch tubeless tyre at the front and a fat 140/60 x 17 tubeless rubber at the rear. The Suzuki Gixxer has been priced at Rs 83,402 (on-road Delhi) for the solid shade colour.
