Triumph Motorcycles record highest sales in last 30 years

One of the fastest growing premium motorcycle brands in India, Triumph Motorcycle is witnessing strong demands internationally. The British iconic brand has globally recorded their highest sales figures in 30 years reaching a volume of 54,432 units. Triumph Motorcycle’s Indian arm made an important contribution by selling 1,300 motorcycles in the first year of its inception in India. 

Commenting about the growing sales, Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India, said, “In India, we have had a dream run this past year having clocked 1300 sales. We are delighted with the way things have panned out for us in the last year.  It has been extremely rewarding in terms of both sales and the love we have got from Triumph enthusiasts. Globally also this has been a great year for Triumph Motorcycles. We have not only established ourselves as a front runner in the luxury motorcycles industry but have also been successful in adding value to our global sales figures.”

According to the numbers shared by the company, its global sales figure increased by 4.5 per cent in unit sales as compared to the previous year. Triumph Group managed accounting loss of £8m due to unrealised exchange rate loss, planned overseas expansion costs and ongoing investment in new models. The group’s turnover totalled to about Rs 3,424.28 crore (British Pound 364 million), while total sales rose to more than 54,000 units, compared to 52,000 units in the preceding year.
