Images of the 2016 BMW 3 Series facelift doing test rounds in China have surfaced on the web. The 2016 3 Series facelift is expected to be revealed internationally in the first half of this year, and the Bavarian carmaker is, therefore, busy testing this refreshed car rigorously.
The 3 Series facelift will be seen sporting LED daytime running lights like the BMW 1 Series facelift which will be launched internationally on March 28, 2015. Tweaks to the kidney-shaped grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers and new wheel options will complete the changes to the exterior. Inside, this refreshed car will receive new trims and an upgraded iDrive system.
Reports suggest, the base variant of the 2016 BMW 3 Series facelift will come equipped with a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine. However, the India-bound refreshed model is expected to come with the existing engine options.
Currently, the BMW 3 Series 320d comes powered with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine developing 184PS of power and 380Nm of torque. The 328i is equipped with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder unit churning out 245PS of power and 350Nm of torque.
The 3 Series facelift is expected to reach the Indian shores towards the end of this year or early next year. Once launched, the 2016 BMW 3 Series facelift will lock horns with the Audi A4, Mercedes C Class, Jaguar XE.
