Pulsar 200SS spotted in Colombia

An amateur video of two Bajaj Pulsar 200SS test bikes spotted in Colombia has surfaced on the Internet.

To be manufactured at Bajaj’s Chakan plant, the Pulsar 200SS is a full-faired variant of the Pulsar 200NS (the SS moniker standing for supersport).

Mechanically, the 200SS will feature the same 199.5 liquid-cooled engine which powers the 200NS, and makes 23.5PS power and 18.3Nm of torque. The 200SS may, however, sport fuel injection and there could be a minor power increment in the engine.

The 200SS is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2015, and is likely to be priced around Rs 1.25 lakh. An ABS variant is also expected, at a premium of Rs 20,000-30,000 over the standard version.
