After the recent unveiling of the updated 2023 Nexon EV, Tata has officially started accepting the bookings of the car from today. You can reserve your Nexon EV either online or at a Tata dealership for a token amount of Rs 21,000. It will come in three broad trims – Creative, Fearless, and Empowered – and two variants: Medium and Long Range.
The revamped Nexon EV features plenty of design influence from the Curvv concept. That includes a new fascia with split LED headlights and full-width DRLs, new alloys, and connected LED tail lamps. For a closer look at the 2023 Tata Nexon SUV, check out our in-depth image gallery.
The cabin in the new Nexon EV is similar to the ICE facelifted Nexon, but with one big change: a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system instead of the smaller 10.25-inch unit of the ICE model. Bits such as a two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo, touch-based climate control, and a digital driver’s display have been carried forward from the ICE model.
In terms of features, the 2023 Nexon EV carries forward all the aforementioned kit, besides getting ventilated front seats, cruise control, a sunroof, drive modes, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, and an air purifier. The updated Nexon EV also features a 360-degree surround camera system, a blind-spot monitor, six airbags, ESC, parking sensors, and electric brake with auto hold.
Tata offers the 2023 Nexon EV in two broad variants: Medium Range and Long Range. Electric motor on the Medium Range variant delivers 129PS/215Nm coupled with a 30kWh battery pack, whereas the Long Range variant’s electric motor delivers 145PS/215Nm coupled with a 40.5kWh battery pack. ARAI-claimed range figures stand at 325km for medium-range and 465km for the long-range variant. With fast charging capabilities onboard, you can charge your Nexon EV with a DC fast charger in 56 minutes. It also gets vehicle to vehicle (V2V) and vehicle to load (V2L) charge capabilities.
Prices for the facelifted Nexon EV will be out on September 14 and it will certainly command a premium over the outgoing model that was priced from Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). It will lock horns with the Mahindra XUV400 and will be a more affordable option for the buyers preferring MG ZS EV.
