CorsaVeloce hahaha. A meaner version of the Fiat 500XX, really? Well these are rendered images anyway. Will have to wait till 2018 for a preview to what is to come. Till then I'll be waiting with bated breath and hope it is as good as the old Defender. You just got me thinking... aren't all new Land Rover/Range Rover softer looking compared to the rugged designs of the past. I mean the Range Rover in the early 90s looked like a mean machine that could take you anywhere comfortably. Now it looks like a bling mobile for football stars. Even the Freelander 2 looked like it was purpose built where as the new Discovery Sport looks too soft. One thing, however, we need not worry is their capability. Land Rovers and Land Cruisers will always be king of the hill for as long as they exist!

NikilSJ, the new defender looks like a 'another-word-for-cat' car. It has lost much of the muscle and rugged appeal it had. I have always felt that the Defender and the G-Wagon were evergreen designs and made to appeal to all the fanatics who enjoy retro styling with modern tech. No offence to Fiat owners, it looks like a slightly meaner version of the 500XX

JijoMalayil, I culd wait five years for a proper Landie! As for the Jeep, an all-new Wrangler is under development too. So the next-gen Defender will compete with the updated Wrangler anyway. Land Rover will most likely assemble the Defender here and not produce it. Still it will be cheaper than bringing it via CBU route.
