Sedans Toyota Corolla Altis The sharp looking Corolla Altis has got a spacious interior, a comfortable ride and decent engine options too. Toyota has added a lot more equipment in the current generation Corolla to keep it on par with its competition. Available with a 1.8-litre petrol and a 1.4-litre turbocharged diesel engine, the Corolla Altis is now available with discount of around Rs 60,000 on select stocks. However, if you are planning on picking up one, I would suggest you stay away from the diesel version as it is too underpowered for a car this size. The Octavia is a premium car with a luxurious interior. It is available with a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol, 1.8-litre turbo-petrol, and a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel as well. The Octavia competes with Volkswagen’s Jetta and the once popular Hyundai Elantra. The Octavia can now be had with a discount of up to Rs 1.25 lakh discount at the dealership level for the manual car. You can also avail a Rs 40,000 discount on the automatic model as well. MPVs Chevrolet Enjoy The Enjoy MPV by Chevrolet was launched to take on Maruti’s once popular Ertiga. The Enjoy, however, wasn’t as successful as its peers like the Ertiga and Honda's Mobilio. For under Rs 10 lakh, The Enjoy is still a spacious and comfortable MPV. The 1.3-litre diesel engine sourced from Fiat is the same engine used by manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki, Premier (Rio) and Tata, so servicing and parts availability will not be an issue. However, the fit and finish is not as good as that of the Ertiga’s or the Mobilio’s and that could spoil the deal for many out here. Chevrolet is now selling the Enjoy with a discount of up to Rs 50,000 across the country now.
