Q.Production- Ready Electric Harley Likely in Five Years

We are all familiar with Harley's 'Project Livewire'. If you aren't, well, it is an electric motorcycle from Harley Davidson and it looks like they're pretty serious about going the 'electric' way. According to Milwaukee Business Journal, an electric bike is under development and in order to gain a better understanding of the practicalities of an electric bike, the Project Livewire motorcycle has gone on a road trip to several countries, including Asia, Europe, Canada and United States and gathered feedback from engineers and Harley riders. The company has also made it clear that the Livewire is just a prototype and there is no official decision to put it into production. It feels weird that Harley Davidson, a company which makes big brawny 'Potato-potato” sounding V-Twins for their bikes is now going electric. Expect the electric bike to sound interesting too, just like the Livewire. The only bad thing about the Livewire was its range. It was just a measly 80 km. This was because of the longitudinally mounted engine which hardly left decent space for the batteries. Expect the production version to come up with better batteries offering more range.
