Q.I Demand A Faster Ford Figo!

Just when I thought the imagined Figo ST was hot enough comes this hotter Figo RS version. This render was done by [I]Indian Autos Blog's [/I]artist Shoeb R Kalania. Inspired by the Focus RS, the Figo RS too gets the larger mesh grille up front along with a more agressive looking bumper with a spliter and LED DRLs. It also gets side skirts along with a large 17-inch wheels finished in gloss black. It also gets massive wing at the back. Looks bloody good I must say and I wish Ford considers making this at some point in the new Figo's long life ahead. So what do you think of it? This engine produces 197hp and 274Nm of torque in the Fiesta ST and is coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Expect lowered ride height and stiffer coils on all four corners along with a performance exhaust too!

As soon as the current Figo is launched in Europe as the KA, expect aftermarket parts and accessories to come up by the dozen. Im really curious to see what power upgrades will be availaboe, especially for the 1.5 liter TDCI engine. The suspension is not too soft, I think its good for city use and occasional track days.

I'm pretty sure people in the UK are definitely going to do it soon. Imagine a Cosworth powered Ford Ka/Figo hot hatch. Now that would sell in the UK, but not so much here. But like [USER="42"]CorsaVeloce[/USER] always says, if someday does it once, other will follow and getting those parts here won't be much of a trouble. I agree with you about the new Figo's suspension being a bit too soft. The older one was stiff as hell and was so much fun to chuck into corners. The new Figo, as you've mentioned, is a bit high as well taking away some of that sporty appeal of the older one. As far as handling goes, it's a FORD - 'nuff said. Doesn't matter if it's electric or hydraulic. Trust those guys to get it right every time! I drove the 1.5 litre Ford Figo with the 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and did like the way it performed, but it did lack a bit of punch. The way it has been tuned is more for city drivability than outright performance. Same goes for the suspension. It is very comfortable, with great ride quality, but not one that an enthusiast would love. It needs to be stiffer, probably a little lower as well. The handling is still spot on despite moving to an electric steering set up. And that's the brilliant thing about this car. Oh, and yes, paddle shifters are sorely missed with that gearbox. Speaking of paddle shifters, I've not heard from [URL="https://www.zigwheels.com/forum/profile/1675"]Reshma[/URL] in a while. How's the car hunt going?
