This should be the highest selling model from the Jeep portfolio. Its being anticipated for the last couple of years and Jeep seems to be taking its own sweet time in bringing it here. Although, at 30 lakhs, it will be considerably expensive for the Indian mindset.
I think this will sell abysymally low numbers. At 30L, it's out of reach of most true blue Jeepers. While on the other hand, those that are willing to shell out 30L for an SUV, will prefer one of the many capable, more comfortable, safer and feature rich SUVs in that price bracket. Had the Wrangler been launched at a sub 20L pricepoint, it might have still done some respectable figures. At the end of the day, the Wrangler will sit next to the 500 and the Beetle- impractical, overpriced cult cars, ...and that is a shame.
Yes CorsaVeloce However, my gut tells me that this Wrangler is going to be a massive hit in the south especially in the state of Kerala
I hope you don't mean 'hit' in any other way, in the land of beedi kings & Hummers! ;)

Yes CorsaVeloce the price tag is the only thing I'm concerned about. Indian car buyers won't be willing to spend to much for an SUV that looks like a Thar that costs one third of the price :x However, my gut tells me that this Wrangler is going to be a massive hit in the south especially in the state of Kerala (if the ban on diesel vehicles doesn't happen that is)
