Being a entry level product it offers the best of most world. U have got space, features, road presence & mileage. That's what a first car buyer looks in his car. Kwid definitly has changed Renault's fortune in India but still there are many areas of improvement as there is no panel beneath the windsheild & as a Result water may seep in the engine compartment. NVH levels are on a higher side. Being both the engines new reliability of these engine are a bit of concern that we'll leave to future. Hope they eliminate few of these issues in the next move. I am so excited - a worthy competitor to the Alto K10 finally. Proper fun this could be. Small, lightweight, reasonably powerful motor, good handling - Yay!

Although we have not got any official confirmation from Renault yet, indications are that the Kwid 1-litre will be launched on August 23, and as [USER="5751"]Krams[/USER] says, deliveries will begin in September. The Kwid 1-litre, is likely to come with a 1-litre, 3 cylinder petrol engine that will put out about 67 bhp of power (the current 800 cc Kwid puts out 54 bhp of power). Speculation is also rife that Renault may offer the Kwid 1-litre with dual airbags as this is an option on its main rival the Maruti Alto K10. Being lighter than the Alto K10, one can expect the Kwid to be a peppy performer. It will still continue to sport other goodies such as the digital instrument console, touchscreen infotainment system with GPS and remote central locking. Prices of the Kwid 1-litre are likely to be about Rs. 30,000 / Rs. 40,000 more than corresponding 800 cc variants. It may come in just 1 or 2 variants at the most.
