Themallustig May be could be a plug & play job for the Maruti for plonking 93PS engine in the engine bay but to me it is good that maruti is not doing that because unless maruti doesn't improvise the sheet metal of the body, there should be no point installing a more powerful engine in a light car from Safety point of view. The same applies to the hot seller Baleno too with its wafer thin sheet metal. As we all know India always get a tone down version of an international car, no matter how much it scores in the European crash test but the numbers for India are always below satisfactory below B+ segment. Its no doubt that Maruti has made a brilliant product in the portfolio but the high time has come to now offer already safe cars in our market rather than offering light cars with Optional bags as In a country like us customer would want to spend a high budget on some flashy accessories rather than to buy optional package of the same variant.

I think the Deca edition looks sporty inside out, that compliments the original Swifts' character. I would have loved if they could have tuned the engine for a bit more power (especially the 90 PS version of the 1.3 Multijet motor would have been really nice). Here is a small trailer of the same. CorsaVeloce Swift would still be selling like hot cakes. No need for these limited edition. A grown customer now need much more than what it is offered in the market. A sticker job can also be done at the customers end. I wish Maruti Suzuki could have done a mild power bump or improvement in the features list across its lineup. We have already heard many stories of maruti sales representatives pushing your purchase telling it has much more resale value than your Z trim & V trims sells the most in our country. Maruti too makes all the special edition only on its V trims none of the special edition has been launched on Z trim officially, though customer can opt for it at dealership level like we used to had Swift Glory edition.
