This Swift got mid-life update just a few months back with two new colors as well. I understand that the competition is also heating up, but they could do more than just a random 'limited edition' variant. The Swift has started to look dated but that does not stop it's sales graph from falling too low, ever. People who want to buy Swift will still buy it, regardless of these editions, I don't think this will boost any sales.

I have no interest in so called 'Special Edition' cars from Maruti these days. they would add some already available MG Accessories, with some stickers and call it a limited edition. Now its like another day, another special-edition Maruti, Sigh. Regarding the 10, some say It is to honor some of the greatest football players who had put on jerseys numbered “10” and that this number probably has to do something with the special edition :D Swift, Like about '10' updates(cosmetic only). Some say it may be to mark the completion of the decade, since the introduction of the DDiS diesel engine from FIAT. but that will happen by 2017 only as the diesel model was launched in 2007 only. whatever the case maybe Maruti seems to be happy introducing these limited editions whenever they feel the sales have gone down. why is it always the mid trims, try the top-end model for a change next time.

I wish they had offered this in the ZXi and ZDi trim as well as a lot of little but useful features are missing in this one. Will this only be available in red or other colours as well?
