Hyundai has launched the facelifted variants of Grand i10 starting at Rs 4.59 Lakh for the Era petrol variant. Here is the complete list of the revised prices. Inside you get a 7.0 Touch Screen Audio Video System with smartphone connectivity (Apple Car play, Android Auto, Mirror Link, Smartphone Navigation). The diesel variants get a new 1.2-litre U2 motor that produces 73 bhp and 194 Nm of maximum torque.The petrol motor comes mated with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. Claimed fuel efficiency for the petrol variants are 19.77 km/l (MT) and 17.49 km/l (AT), while the diesel engine gives a company claimed fuel efficiency of 24.95 km/l.

[SIZE=12px]The Hyundai Grand i10 facelift is likely to be launched soon. A handful of units of the 2017 Grand i10 has started arriving in showrooms across the country. This engine is likely to be coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox and is expected to be more powerful than the outgoing engine. The 1.2-litre VTVT four-cylinder petrol engine will be retained.[/SIZE] [SIZE=12px]The 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 is expected to be priced between Rs 4.58 lakh to Rs 7.32 lakh. The good news is that Hyundai seems to have slashed the pricing of the base Era petrol variant by around Rs 32,000. With these changes, Hyundai expects they can retain interest in the little hatchback, especially after the launch of the Maruti Suzuki IGNIS.[/SIZE]

Hyundai is expected to launch the Grand i10 facelift in January 2017. There will be no changes to the engines. The 1.2-litre petrol and the 1.1-litre diesel will be carried forward.

In case they launch the Grand i10 and decide to launch the Xcent later, many will put the purchase on hold and wait for the new version to be launched which will lead to a slump in the Xcents sales and may also affect the stocks. This way, people are going to buy the cars in big numbers during the festival and later with the upgrade many more would be pulled in. From a marketing perspective it makes sense.

Bad news, reports reveal that the facelifted Hyundai Grand i10 and Xcent will only be launched in early 2017 in India. The Grand i10 was spotted testing multiple times in India. Xcent based on the Grand i10 is likely to get the same updates seen on its hatch sibling, which was unveiled at the Paris Auto Show a few days ago.

[I]Did someone say teeth?![/I] :D I'm not entirely sure I like the new i10 looks completely. It does look fresh, but the older i10 had neutral looks while the front fascia of the new edition can have a polarising effect as far as opinions are concerned. The radiator grille treatment is a bit over the top though. Maybe it'll look better in person. Even if Hyundai doesn't give DRLs in the Indian version, there will still be a recess for that, into which we can easily fit in aftermarket ones. The tooth coming out comment was hilarious by the way. Lets see if that makes it to the indian spec. I didnt expect anything radical than this as its just a mid life facelift and I have genuinely seen uglier so called face'lifts' from Hyundai. REMEMBER THE VERNA TRANSFORM??? :D :D ;)

I feel its a bit unneccesary and they could have done much more than just change the bumpers and add a fancy infotainment. I was never a fan of the way this car looked, and somehow I find this version particularly ugly.

Good move for the customers, though. I hope Hyundai corrects the issue of giving safety packs like ABS and Airbags only in the top spec Optional variant this time around. I too like the round DRLs, looks different and cool. 😎

I also see dual rear fog lamps which is also likely to be omitted or reduced to just one in the indian spec version, DRL's were also not functioning in the test mule. Let's see... In 2013, the Grand i10 (second generation Hyundai i10 in Europe) made its global debut in India. The European i10 also had a slightly different C-pillar design to it. So what does this Grand i10 facelift has to offer? [ATTACH=CONFIG]n16901[/ATTACH] Seen are refreshed grille with round LED DRLs, and funky fog lights enclosures that housed those tiny fog lamps. The profile and proportions remain the same, only gets a different alloy wheel pattern. It also retains the C-pillar design that was to see in the current European model.The rear gets a huge black inlay of black cladding on the bumper, which also houses those two circular fog lamps. [ATTACH=CONFIG]n16902[/ATTACH] Interiors retain the previous design and layout. The contrasting accents looks like they are colour coordinated to the exterior shade. The cabin feels more upmarket with the addition of a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit that incorporates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. All in all, we like what we see on the Grand i10 facelift. Indian models are not likely to get it, considering the segment Grand i10 comes in. European models will retain the 1.0 litre and 1.25-litre petrol motors and the choice of a 5-speed and 4-speed auto transmission. Expect no changes in the powertrains in India, the same 1.1-litre diesel and 1.2-litre petrol motor will be retained. We expect Hyundai to launch the face-lifted Grand i10 by the year end. Expect a slight premium over current Grand i10 prices.
