447 Views Add Comment19 CommentsGeeth | 8 years agoActually I heard from some of friends that tata cars suffer from malfunction of parts very often. Is it true?? I don't have any idea about Tata's after sale service and cost of spare parts or maintainance. Is it much costly than maruti? Is it required to service tata cars or tiago very often? Cause I am very much worried about the extra costs I have to bear every year after purchase, such as insurance charges, maintainance & servicing etc.
Roshun | 8 years agoMaddyz The Tiago is one car that Tata is really betting on and the company has also tried to improve service at its service stations. If you had to pick a Tiago, go with either the XZ Revotron (petrol) or XT (O) variant as these come with safety features such as ABS and airbags. It also comes fully loaded with a fantastic multimedia infotainment system, good storage space, remote locking, follow me home lamps and a few more features. CorsaVeloce was part of the team that did the 50,000 km drive with the Tiago and he's quite impressed with it.
Nikil | 8 years agoMaddyz, I highly recommend you to take a look at the Tiago. It is a brilliant product even though Tata's sales and service is still questionable. The Tiago offers plenty of space and the petrol motor is quite punchy too. In terms of features, nothing can beat the Tiago which comes with a brilliant infotainment system developed by Harman. It has a Bluetooth function where you can connect multiple phones for playing music or for navigation. If the Tiago seems too bold a decision to make, I suggest you go for the Maruti Celerio. Being a Maruti, expect sales and service to be a hassle free experience. It is very fuel efficient and will hold its resale value unlike the Tiago.
Vidit | 8 years agomaddyz Out of the cars that you have shortlisted, the Tiago seems to be the best deal. We have had many discussions on this on this particular topic here. The Tiago is a brilliant package with all the features and comforts of a car from the higher segment. The Kwid 1.0 seems like a sweet deal but not many are happy with build quality and durability of the car hence I would suggest you consider the other two. As far as the Celerio is concerned, it is a great vfm product and also comes backed with Maruti's unparalleled cheap maintenance, although it does loose out on a lot of features as compared to the Tiago.
JOY | 8 years agoMahindra and Mahindra is Celebrating the 5th anniversary of the XUV500 in India, the company has announced exciting offers and discounts on purchase of the SUV. XUV500, the recipient of several awards, was launched in the country in September 2011 and It has been enjoying a successful drive on the Indian roads for the past five years with sales clocking over 1.5 lakh units. The soon to be launched TATA HEXA is posing a serious threat to the XUV's sales and Mahindra wants to cash in before its too late(Incidentally, It is the XUV 5OO which killed the TATA Aria sales). The XUV 5OO is now offered with discounts and benefits ranging between Rs 22,000 to Rs 66,000.Besides this, XUV500 also gets extended warranty, accident insurance benefits and optional accessories.
Jijo | 8 years agoChevrolet has cut prices for the Trailblazer SUV in India by a whopping Rs 3.04 lakh and now retails for Rs 23.95 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Chevrolet only has the Trailblazer LTZ variant being sold in India. This price revision can be caused either due to the festive season or responding to the Ford's Endeavour recent price revision (reduced by up to Rs 2.82 lakh) or the fact that a facelifted model is due to be introduced in India very soon.
Nikil | 8 years agoRajiv_Mathur unfortunately there are no offers on the Baleno as of now. This is because it is one of Maruti Suzuki's best selling model currently and they don't see any reason to boost sales by doling out offers. You could however check with your nearest dealer for any festive season discounts or offers from the dealer-end. Some of the dealers will be willing to give out free accessories and other goodies with the car. Also, the Baleno's production has been bumped up by a huge margin and Maruti has promised early deliveries for customers who book the car in this festive season.
Nikil | 8 years agoChethan_bohra from what I know, the Wagon R AMT version gets a discount of Rs 35,000 in Delhi-NCR region and other parts of the country. However, I am not sure if this discount extends to the Stingray version as well. You will have to check that with the nearest Maruti Suzuki dealer. Like Arjun said, the dealers will be willing to give free accessories as well as this is the festive season when most of the dealers offer a good deal or offers.
Arjun | 8 years agoChethan_bohra Carwale is giving a 35000 discounts for its users. You can avail it by using the mobile site to contact the dealers. As this discount is on, you may also be able to walk in and ask the dealer to give you a similar discount if you aren't able to avail it through carwale.com. You can also push for free accessories or insurance as its the festival season and the Stingray isn't the higher seller version of Wagon R. Even if they don't give a cash discount, getting accessories for the same price or discontinued price from the dealer are usually easy. Chevrolet is also giving out a 4 gram gold coin with the Beat. There is an additional Rs 10,000 discount for government employees. Cruze: The Cruze is certainly on its last legs. It is now available with a cash discount of Rs 50,000 and a 4 gram gold coin along with an exchange bonus of Rs 50,000.
Nikil | 8 years agoVolkswagen Volkswagen India is calling their offer schemes for the month of October VolksFest. Here’s a look at some of the offers. Polo The Polo is one of the best products from Volkswagen. Yes, it is bit cramped when compared to rivals like the Baleno and the Elite i20. But if you want a safe hatchback, look no further. The Polo is now available with 0% Interest Rate for 3 years from VW Finance or cash discount of Rs 35,000. Vento The Vento too is available with 0% Interest Rate for 3 years through VW Finance or with a cash discount of Rs 50,000. Jetta The brilliant Jetta premium sedan is now available through VW Finance with an Interets Rate of 4.99% *Additional Rs 10,000 loyalty bonus on Polo, Vento and Jetta available and lucky draw for multimedia tablets in place too.
Nikil | 8 years agoFord Ford India recently slashed the prices of the Figo, Aspire and the Endeavour and is now offering some good deals on the Aspire diesel variant as well. Figo Aspire Trend Diesel Free 1st Year Insurance along with a exchange bonus of Rs 25,000 on exchange of an old Ford car are available. If you want to exchange any other car, then the bonus is just Rs 18,000. Alternatively, if you have nothing to exchange, Ford is offering auto finance @ 8.4% Interest Rate with 100% On-Road Finance offer. Makes for a good deal I think. Check out the compact sedan spec comparo here: https://www.zigwheels.com/forum/post...ire-vs-vw-ameo EcoSport The EcoSport too recently received a price cut due to the good demand for it’s primary rival - the Vitara Brezza. So no offers here except for free goodies worth Rs 15,000. *Additional dealer-end offers based on model variants on select stock of MY’15 and MY’16 cars too are available.
Nikil | 8 years agoToyota The new Toyota Innova Crysta is the current hot seller for the company. The ban on diesel cars in Delhi NCR certainly saw a slump in sales for Toyota, but expect them to bounce back in October now that the ban has been withdrawn. Also, the new Fortuner is slated for launch this November so watch out for that before you run off and book one this festive season. Liva and Etios The Etios and Liva recently received an update in the hope that they will revive customers’ interest. But frankly, these cars have become quite boring and there aren’s many offers as well. Government employees can avail a Rs 10,000 discount on these cars. Corolla Altis The Corolla Altis has some stiff competition now from the new Hyundai Elantra. It is now available with benefits of up to Rs 50,000 along with an undisclosed exchange bonus. Innova Crysta No offers on the Crysta yet. But we are getting our hands on one pretty soon. So stay tuned to the forum for our take on the Crysta. Fortuner The new model is round the corner. Hence, some dealers are offering huge discounts on the current generation in an attempt to clear stocks. If you like the older SUVs butch looks and think the new one might cost you a bomb, then go for it.
Nikil | 8 years agoRenault Renault India has pipped Toyota to become the sixth largest car maker in the country. This can be attributed to the popularity of the Kwid and diesel ban in Delhi-NCR that slowed Toyota’s progress. The French car maker has plenty of deals and offers going for this Navratri and Diwali. Kwid Owing to the popularity, Renault India has decided not to offer any offers on the Kwid. However, they have promised priority delivery for the 800cc and 1.0-litre variant. Here’s our detailed review of the 800cc version: https://www.zigwheels.com/forum/posts/14488-renault-kwid-detailed-review Pulse The Pulse hatchback has been witnessing dismal sales figures for quite some time now. It is now available with a cash discount of Rs 40,000 along with a 2 gram gold coin. Scala The Scala is a very spacious hatchback based on the Nissan Sunny. It is now available with free 1st year insurance along with a 2 gram gold coin. Lodgy Even though the Lodgy MPV is based on the Duster platform, it hasn’t enjoyed the same share of success as it’s SUV sibling. This is mainly because of car buyers’ disdain for MPVs and preference for the more butch looking SUV. To revive sales, Renault is now offering the Lodgy Rxl variant with a discount of Rs 40,000 while the World Edition is available with a discount of Rs 20,000. An Additional 2 gram gold coin is also available for this festive season. Duster The Duster was once a very popular SUV but later it became out of favour after the launch of the more premium feeling Hyundai Creta. The launch of an updated version hasn’t helped sales either. The manual version is now available with a discount of Rs 40,000 while AMT version is now available at the price of the manual variant. Say what! Both variants will get you a 2 gram gold coin as well. There are no offers on the brilliant AWD version we tested a while back though. Read the review here: https://www.zigwheels.com/forum/post...n-depth-review Also, if you buy a Renault car in the next one month, you stand a chance to meet actor Ranbir Kapoor.
Nikil | 8 years agoTata The success of the Tiago has bumped homegrown manufacturer Tata to the 5th spot in the top selling manufacturer charts. Bored by this success, Tata also has some great offers for this season. Tiago The Tiago managed to impress us during it’s brief stint at Zigwheels. To know why, click on this link. Tata isn’t offering any discounts on this model yet but has promised customers an early delivery. Bolt and Zest The Bolt was DOA (dead on arrival) due to Tata’s older pricing strategy. The Bolt is not that cheaper to buy when compared to the Zest. Tata is now offering both the Bolt and the Zest with free 1st year insurance along with an exchange bonus of up to Rs 30,000. There are dealer-level discounts too. Safari Storme An exchange bonus of Rs 50,000 along with free 1st year insurance os available on the Safari Storme this festive season. Har Week Diwali Offer: 7 lucky customers who book the Tiago, Zest or a Safari Storme stand a chance to win Rs 10 lakh each as per Tata Motors’ terms and conditions. Terms apply. Offer on select variants based in Delhi NCR.
Nikil | 8 years agoHonda This Diwali, Honda Cars India has a new exciting offer called 'God's Play Of Lights' where 20 lucky couples who book a Honda car between 1st and 31st of October get a chance to travel to Norway to witness the Northern Lights. Brio Just this week, Honda launched the Brio facelift (Link: https://www.zigwheels.com/forum/post...t-rs-4-69-lakh ). While the older Brio now costs Rs 25,000 lesser than the facelift spec-to-spec. The new Brio is now available with Rs 1 Honda Assurance (1st Year Insurance). Amaze The compact sedan based on the Brio has been a hit among car buyers looking for a stylish sedan. It is a good alternative to the Swift DZire and to boost sales further, Honda is now benefits of upto Rs 43,000 on all Amaze facelift variants except for the E trim for both the petrol and diesel variant. The pre-facelift Amaze (MY'16) is now available with a discount of Rs 60,000 on all petrol and diesel variants while the MY'15 variants are available for Rs 1 lakh lesser. Honda Assurance One Year Warranty now available for Rs 1. Jazz The Jazz is one of the most spacious hatchback in the premium segment. The Baleen and Elite i20, however, rule this segment. To get back in the game, the Jazz is now offered with a discount of Rs 25,000 on diesel E, S, SV and VX variants; and Rs 40,000 on diesel V variant. 2015 diesel model now gets a discount of Rs 60,000. For the 2015 petrol VX manual variant, Honda is offering a discount of Rs 40,000 while the rest of the vairants are now offered with a discount of Rs 15,000. 2016 Petrol V, VX manual variants are now being offered with a discount of Rs 10,000. Mobilio The Mobilio has been a dud for Honda, especially since the launch of the BR-V. The MY15 Mobilio petrol is now available with a whopping discount of Rs 1.20 lakh while the diesel variant gets a Rs 2 lakh discount. Get it only if you need the seven seats and can’t afford the BR-V. City The City is one of the most popular sedans in the country. In recent times, however, it has been facing stiff competition from the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. Offers on the city include: Manual: 1st Year Honda Assure Insurance (Petrol, Diesel E, S, SC, VX variants) for Re 1 + Rs 15,000 exchange bonus of Diesel variant. Rs 60,000 discount on all 2015 petrol and diesel variants. CVT: Rs 15,000 flat cash discount. BR-V The BR-V is Honda’s answer to the Hyundai Creta. While it is not so butch as the Creta, the BR-V is a very comfortable and efficient car. We took on a 5,000 kilometre road trip and came back impressed by it’s highway manners. Rs 10,000 discount on all variant except E (petrol and diesel) and Honda has promised potential customers priority delivery for this festive season. Meanwhile, you can read the detailed review of the BR-V here: https://www.zigwheels.com/forum/post...-and-road-test CR-V: All 2015 models of the slow-selling CR-V now get a discount of upto Rs 70,000 (all variants). Nikil | 8 years agoMahindra Mahindra has been riding a wave of success this year with the launch of the KUV1oo, the updated TUV3oo and the recently launched Bolero Power+. To keep up the pace with other manufacturers, Mahindra has some great offers for this festive season. KUV100 Mahindra calls the KUV100 a micro SUV. Whatever it is, the demand for the KUV100 has tapered off since launch. For the festive season, Mahindra is offering 50% off on the on-demand 1st Year Insurance on the petrol variant while it is free for the diesel model. All models also come with a Rs 10,000 cash discount and an exchange bonus of Rs 25,000. Our detailed review here: https://www.zigwheels.com/forum/post...etailed-review NuvoSport The NuvoSport too saw great demand for a couple of months and then tapered off. To revive sales of the NuvoSport, Mahindra is offering a cash discount of Rs 35,000 along with an exchange bonus of Rs 25,000. TUV300 The TUV300 has generally been a great success for Mahindra. There are some great offers going for this sub-4 metre SUV this month which are listed below. Offer: Total 5 Year Warranty along with accessories worth Rs 10,000. Exchange bonus of Rs 25,000 along with a Loyalty bonus of Rs 10,000 too are available. Scorpio Mahindra recently introduced an updated version of the Scorpio with an Intelli Hybrid system. This has made the SUV cheaper by close to Rs 1 lakh in Delhi NCR. XUV500 The XUV500 is getting a bit long in tooth now and sales have dipped considerably. Hence Mahindra is now offering a cash discount of upto Rs 40,000 along with an exchange bonus of Rs 15,000 Ssangyong Rexton The Rexton too has been struggling to move off the showroom floor. Mahindra is now offering an all inclusive discount of Rs 1.5 lakh along with an exchange bonus of Rs 50,000. *Government Employee Discount of up to Rs 7,000. Corporate discount of up to Rs 10,000 on select models *Terms Apply. Offer on select model variants based in Delhi NCR
Nikil | 8 years agoHyundai Not to be left behind, the second largest car maker in the country too is offering some greta discounts on some of the models. Let’s take a look at the best offers for the month of October, 2016. Eon The entry-level hatchback from Hyundai hasn’t done very well in the market thanks to the presence of cheaper alternatives from Maruti Suzuki. The Eon is a brilliant little hatchback but lacks cabin space, probably the reason why it is not doing too well in the market. Offer: Rs 7,500 cash discount along with free insurance and 3-year warranty. Exchange bonus of Rs 20,000 is available too. Grand i10 The launch of the Grand i10 facelift has been delayed to early 2017. JOY MRC recently booked one for his relative as Hyundai extended one of their older offer. Offer: Rs 7,000 cash discount along with free insurance and 3-year warranty. An exchange bonus of Rs 33,000 is also available Xcent The Xcent compact sedan is based on the Grand i10 and is quite popular in the segment. However, it is slowly becoming a favourite with fleet owners. Anyway, there are some good offer this month if you are interested in buying one. Offer: Rs 15,000 cash discount and an exchange bonus of Rs 25,000 for the petrol variant and Rs 30,000 for the diesel variant. Elite i20 The Elite i20 has lost some ground since the launch of the Baleno by Maruti Suzuki. The Elite i20 is one of the most feature-laden hatchbacks in the country. The premium cabin quality along with the stylish looks make the Elite i20 a very compelling buy. Although there are no offers for the petrol variant, Hyundai is offering an exchange bonus of Rs 10,000 for the diesel version. Fluidic Verna The Verna one used to be the best seller in the segment, but has lost out to the Honda City and the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz in recent times. While a newer version was recently launched in China, it’s launch in India is still some time away. Offer: Rs 20,000 cash discount along with an exchange bonus of Rs 50,000. Hyundai has been minting money with the Creta and there are no discounts for this overpriced SUV for the festive season too. The Elantra was launched last month and Hyundai hopes it will find takers for the new car this festive season. Hyundai Creta review: https://www.zigwheels.com/forum/post...th-the-premium Hyundai Elantra launched: https://www.zigwheels.com/forum/post...ch-and-updates *Loyalty Benefits: Additional Rs 7,000 on Grand i10 and Rs 10,000 on Verna for existing Hyundai car owners *Government employee benefit: Additional of Rs 5,000 (Eon) / Rs 7,000 (Grand i10, Xcent Petrol) / Rs 12,000 (Xcent Diesel) *Terms Apply. Offer Scheme on Select Models
Nikil | 8 years agoThe auspicious nature of Navratri and Diwali makes it the time of the year when people love to buy new cars. This trend is aided by manufacturers who launch a host of new cars while also showering great discounts and offers on their existing lineup. Here’s a list of great offers and discounts for you this festive season. Maruti Suzuki The biggest car manufacturer in the country is offering discounts and exchange bonuses on many of their popular models. Premium cars like the the Swift, DZire, Ciaz, Ertiga and the S-Cross are now available with great offers. While their best sellers - the Baleno and the Vitara Brezza - still don’t come with any offers. Swift and Swift DZire The Swift was once one of the most popular hatchback from Maruti Suzuki in the premium segment. However, it has lost some ground to the better packaged premium hatchback, the Baleno. To revive sales of the Swift this season, MSIL is offering discounts of up to Rs 21,000 on the Swift. Here’s a break up of the discounts on offer - Petrol: Lxi - Rs 21,000; Vxi, Zxi - Rs 10,000. Diesel: Vdi - Rs 17,000; Ldi, Zdi - Rs 20,000. There is an additional exchange bonus of up to Rs 22,000 too. The DZire is undoubtedly the king of the compact sedan segment. For Navratri, MSIL is offering discounts of up to Rs 25,000. Petrol: Lxi, Zxi - Rs 5,000; Vxi - Rs 10,000 Diesel: Ldi - Rs 20,000; Vdi, Zdi - Rs 25,000 Exchange bonus of Rs 20,000 available on DZire petrol and Rs 30,000 for the diesel. Ciaz One of the biggest threats to the Honda City, the Ciaz is a really spacious and efficient sedan that won’t burn a hole in your pocket. It is available with both a petrol and a diesel engine. The diesel sells in good numbers every month and Maruti hasn’t found a reason to offer any discounts for that or the more efficient SHVS-equipped model. Petrol: Rs 15,000 cash discount and exchange bonus of up to Rs 50,000*. Diesel: Exchange bonus of up to Rs 30,000*. Applicable in Delhi NCR. Scheme may vary in other cities. Ertiga The Ertiga is a seven seater based on the Swift platform. Although it was quite popular when launched, the Ertiga has been witnessing sluggish sales in the last couple of years thanks to the shift in trend from sedans and people carriers to SUVs. For the festive season, offers are available on the petrol, CNG and diesel SHVS variants. Petrol: Rs 15,000 cash discount. SHVS Diesel Hybrid: Rs 5,000. CNG: Rs 5,000. Exchange bonus of up to Rs 22,000 available in Delhi NCR. Schemes may vary in other cities. S-Cross The S-Cross is one of current favourite from Maruti Suzuki. MSIL slashed the prices of the S-Cross earlier this month due to the sluggish demand. They even offered huge discounts and cash backs to make the S-Cross a tempting proposition. While I can swear that the S-Cross has got one of the best engine in the segment (the 1.6 DDiS 320 engine sourced from Fiat) coupled with a brilliant ride and handling package in the segment, many prospective car buyers still overlook the S-Cross for lacking the butch SUV appeal that has made the Renault Duster and the Hyundai Creta popular. The S-Cross is now available with a dealer-end cash discount of Rs 10,000. Yes, that doesn’t look that tempting enough. But do take a test drive in one and I assure that you will be begging for more. In Search Of Nirvana With An S-Cross: https://www.zigwheels.com/forum/post...suzuki-s-cross Baleno and Vitara Brezza Since these two models are the hottest sellers this year, there are no discounts or exchange bonuses. Check out the review of the Baleno here: https://www.zigwheels.com/forum/post...rprise-package Here’s a our Vitara Brezza vs Ford EcoSport comparison test: https://www.zigwheels.com/forum/post...led-comparison Now let’s take a look at some of Maruti Suzuki’s offers in the budget cars range. Alto 800 The Alto 800, the spiritual successor to the car that put India on wheels - the M800, is one of the most affordable cars you can buy. For the festive season, MSIL is offering a cash discount of Rs 25,000 along with an exchange bonus of Rs 30,000. Alto K10 The Alto K10 is one of the best hatchbacks you can buy on a budget. MT: Discount of Rs 25,000 AMT: Discount of Rs 35,000 Exchange bonus of Rs 22,000 also available. Celerio The tall boy design of the Celerio means that it is quite a spacious hatchback. MT: Discount of Rs 25,000. AMT: Discount of Rs 30,000. Diesel: Discount of Rs 45,000. Exchange bonus of Rs 22,000 on all variants. The Celerio diesel is one of the cheapest diesel cars you can buy in the country. However, I would suggest you to stay away from this as the two-cylinder diesel engine sounds a bit like an auto rickshaw. Yes, it is quite fuel efficient but considering the rap that diesel cars are earning these days, it makes better sense to go for the petrol variant. Wagon R The Wagon R, even though a bit boxy, is one of the most spacious budget hatchback in the segment. There are a range of discounts on the Wagon R depending on the variant. Lxi MT: Cash discount of Rs 35,000. Exchange bonus of Rs 30,000. Vxi MT: Discount of Rs 25,000. Exchange bonus of Rs 30,000. CNG: Exchange bonus of Rs 20,000. AMT: Discount of Rs 35,000. Government employees can avail an additional bonus of Rs 7,500 on all models except the Wagon R CNG (only Rs 3,000 discount) as part of MSIL’s Wheels Of India offer. *Exchange bonus for all the above models varies according to the age of the car. *Terms and condition apply. Offer on select car models based in Delhi NCR. Schemes may vary in other cities.
