[QUOTE_NODE]"Originally posted by Arjun" Roshun Hyundai seems to be listening. Hyundai has launched a new campaign named '#BeTheBetterGuy'. Here they are trying to inform the customer that their cars have safety features, but its also necessary for them to start using it. They have made use of their brand ambassador Sharukh Khan to spread the message. I think we should give credit for the company to come up with a campaign and use their brand ambassadors reach for a good purpose. This is the first ad among a series of four which they would be a launching soon. [/QUOTE_NODE] Brilliant ad! Here's to many more.... from other car companies as well!

This is the first ad among a series of four which they would be a launching soon. This is much better than many stupid ads we see with people just performing stunts to show off a vehicle's capabilities. They do practice safety and wear all possible safety gear, but the focus is never on that. Here, for a change, its something simple and the focus is on existing safety features that we have and do not use. This is an Ad for sure, but with this if they are also campaigning for road safety I don't feel there is anything to lose. As I had said earlier, such campaigns do have affects on people. If not them, the children can learn from it and educate the ignorant adults like its happening over the swatch Bharat campaign.

Kaiserketkar Having reverse sensors as mandatory is a good move. This is like how the government has made it mandatory to have reverse light(s) on cars, so that others know the car is backing up. Similarly, it would be wise to have sensors so that the driver can be warned of an obstacle behind the car. As you've said, these days it is hard for many to see immediately behind the vehicle because of the newer design trends. The other things being discussed in the International Road Federation's World Road Meeting is that airbags be made mandatory in all cars - that is anyway coming in in 2017. The IRF is also asking for a speed warning system to be installed in all cars. From 2019 all 2-wheelers will come with either ABS or CBS (combined braking system) also. "India will host, for the first time, the International Road Federation’s four day World Road Meeting (WRM 2017) from November 14-17, 2017. About 3000 road safety, infrastructure and transport experts from across the world will take part in the World Roads Meet ."
