Lokesh naidu, firstly, a 4 year old BMW 320d luxury line should not be costing you more 15 - 18 lakhs, depending on the mileage that it has been used for. Secondly, the dilemma you have it quite common these days as owning a BMW is a tempting deal at the price of a Skoda/VW. When we talk about the Jetta or Octavia, they are essentially the same cars and come with a lot of features and comfort for the driver. Between these two, the Octavia is a newer car, costs about the same and has been recently updated with the latest infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. On top of all this, the Jetta is going to be discontinued soon and is priced slightly above the Octy as well. Now if you compare the ownership and maintenance of a VW/Skoda is more or less similar to that of the BMW. After 4 years, you will be requiring new tires in the latter along with changing some more components that are prone to wear. These replacement parts are expensive. Skoda is offering a 4 year maintenance and service along with free insurance package with any new car bought. This takes care of all ownership costs. I would strongly suggest that you talk to your local VW and Skoda dealer to see what they can offer you best, as well as look at some pre owned BMW options that come with BSI (which is BMW's service care plan) of 5 years. Should help. Do let us know what offers you get and if you need help finding a pre owned car.
