Q.Ever seen a VW Golf beat a Lamborghini Huracan?

The GTI comes in my dreams, and if rumors are to be believed, it should come in 2 models - 7-speed Auto & a 6-speed Manual. There is no doubt that it would be THE sleeper to look out for. Also, there are a zillion plug and play parts available for the 3rd Gen (EA888) 1.8 TSi. Expect to see some 200bhp+ Polo's around the city. The launch was supposed to be in Q4 of 2015, however has been pushed up to Q1 2016 due to the mess VW has gotten itself into. The brochures and all have been printed and few test cars are in stock with some VW dealers around the country.

Now that's why I love sleepers. None of the unwanted attention, but they do the job. And surprise everyone while they do it. I'm waiting for VW to launch (and if they launch) the Polo GTI in India. If one de-badges it, there's hardly much to differentiate it from the regular Polo on the outside. Give it a bit of a tune up, perhaps a re-map and then go hunting for some fast sedans to beat.

In times when literally ANYTHING is possible, here's a video that I came across which made my jaw drop to the floor. The definition of a 'sleeper' in the enthusiasts dictionary refers to a car which looks slow, but is really not. Giving a whole other meaning to this definition is this man from Russia. With some help from the German Tuner HGP, this Golf is truely a feast for the eyes. It has an engine swap from a Passat, i.e, a 3.8-litre, 6 cylinder unit. Pumping out a massive 700 bhp along with neck-breaking 820 Nm of torque. Please sit back, and enjoy this.
