Sivassth Shankar The 2017 Hyundai Tucson is a completely new beast, and is nothing like the previous version. So I doubt the launch of the new Tucson is going to be of much help to you, service wise. Yes, a 2006 Tucson is a bit of a risk, maintainence wise, because in case if you need a part and it's not available, it will mean a lot of waiting and possibly a premium cost as well. My suggestion would be to stay away from discontinued models, no matter which manufacturer. You can get a decently maintained 6-8 yr old Scorpio around 4-5 lakhs. Consider that if you are looking for a used SUV. The mHawk engine is a workhorse, and you'll have no problems with maintainence.

The price sounds decent. But it is turning 10 years soon and there is a clamp down on diesel vehicles older than 10 years coming into effect in metro cities. And factor in the maintenance cost, if I were you, I would let this one go.

[QUOTE_NODE]"Originally posted by Sivassth Shankar" I would like to get some advise about the Hyundai Tucson. I'm planning to buy a used model 2006 Hyundai Tucson. [/QUOTE_NODE] We used to have a Tucson and just Roshun has mentioned, maintaining the vehicle turned out to be really expensive and time-consuming, as most of the parts are imported. If you are okay with that, it's a very good product. Btw, how much are you getting it for?
