CorsaVeloce, I think the BMW X7 will be primarily targetted at the Range Rover LWB buyer. It will definitely be more expensive than the Audi Q7 and looks way bigger too. I think it will be as luxurious as the 7 Series and might be priced above it too making the X7 the flagship. It will definitely do well, no doubt about that. I just hope they get the design right.

CorsaVeloce An X7? That's a first for BMW. As far as price positioning goes, I think it would be more expensive than the Audi Q7, since the BMW X5 is in similar price territory as the Audi Q7. The BMW X7 I think would likely be priced at the Rs. 1 crore mark if and when it does come to India.

Back in 2014, BMW had announced that it had plans of coming out with a brand new full size SUV in the coming years and now MotorAuthority has finally managed to get some spy shots of the same. The New BMW X7 seems to have entered its final stage of testing and is set to compete against the like of the Audi Q7, Mercedes Benz GLS and the Land Rover Range Rover LWB. It is bigger than the X5 and is expected to sport the same level of equipment as the new BMW 7 Series. The chassis platform being used is the new 'CLAR' modular platform which is in tune with BMW's latest engine designs as well. The first modular engine was seen in the i3 and i8 and will soon be the benchmark across the board for all BMW cars.
