However, since you are saying the steering and gears also become hard at that time - that is a little confusing. The Amaze has electronic power steering, and if it is going hard, it means that the power steering unit is not getting enough electrical power - if the engine is stuttering at that time, the alternator may not be able to supply enough voltage and hence it is likely that the steering may feel tight suddenly. However, I am not sure the gears also becoming hard at the same time is an associated problem, because the clutch should work irrespective of whether the engine is on or off. Hard gears is usually a sign of the clutch not disengaging fully.
