NikilSJ I feel scissor doors look good on cars that actually deserve it. Like- Lambos look aggressive and scissor doors complement their design. I don't understand the point of scissor doors on normal cars. Sure it looked cool in Need For Speed Underground when I was a kid, but in real life, it looks pretentious in street cars and is needlessly complicated, I feel. Other than that, the modifications are tastefully done. I particularly like the wheels and I'm a stickler for thin spoked alloys! The red interiors with BRIDE racing seats look hot too.

MotoTrendz, a custom workshop in Bengaluru, recently got their hands on a Maruti Suzuki Baleno and modified it. Usually, I hate cars that are modified with bonkers looking body kits and lurid paint jobs. So this Baleno came as breath of fresh air. The modifications done on this are quite tasteful but the showstopper definitely has to be the scissor doors a la Lamborghini. The modified Baleno retains the bright red paint job from the factory with the top half painted black for a dual-tone effect. MotoTrenz chopped the roof to add a large panoramic sunroof. The silver-finish grille has been traded in for a black mesh one. The front bumper now features a splitter which looks quite cool along with the 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped with wide tyres. All the chrome bits from the stock Baleno have been blackened out for a more sporty look. Like the exterior, the interior too adopts a dual-tone red-and-black scheme. The top portion of the dashboard gets a red finish while the lower portion is black. To complement the dashboard, there are replica BRIDE bucket seats, custom floor mats and an upgraded custom touchscreen audio system with larger speakers. The modifications wren’t limited to the body and interior alone. The engine too has been worked on and now gets a K&N air filter and a custom FRK full exhaust system. MotoTrendz hasn’t revealed any power figures for this modified Baleno, but expect it to make a few more horsepower from the 1.2-litre petrol motor that develops 83bhp in stock form. I have seen many cosmetically modded cars in the past of which some were downright hideous. This Baleno on the other hand looks really good and I must say the folks at MotoTrendz have done a splendid job with this one. What do you think? Like it or Hate it? Let me know down below.
