Praveen Just get the voltage of around 52-54 and pack in as many Ah as you can. It should be good to go. Extra Ah means more range. When we say 48V, that 48 is the lower limit. That's when you need to recharge the battery pack. The voltage drops as it loses charge and when it's charged up, it's again around 52V.

[QUOTE_NODE]"Originally posted by Roshun" As for batteries, I think it takes a 48 volt battery pack - 12v x 4 lead-acid batteries. [/QUOTE_NODE] I heard modern e-rickshaws are powered by lithium ion batteries. Will it be compatible with the Magic?

I had replied to this earlier, but can't figure out where my reply went. Since you've already taken out the diesel motor, and you've mentioned that the Magic Iris Electric Motor is available, it should be easily doable. However, I'm not sure about the registration formalities, once you've converted it to an electric vehicle. As for batteries, I think it takes a 48 volt battery pack - 12v x 4 lead-acid batteries.
