Utkarsh Mankar The FZ 250 has an oil-cooled engine. That means, the engine itself is air-cooled, using fins but the oil lubricating the engine internals is cooled with a small radiator. You shouldn't be facing any heating issue with this bike as it feels relatively relaxed at 80-90 kph over long highways. It doesn't have ABS, but that does not mean the braking is poor. It'll just lock up when you do panic-braking, just like other non-ABS bikes. Otherwise, the braking is fine from what I've heard.

Will the FZ25 have heating problems as there's no air cooling? I loved it on test ride. But there's few doubts

As there's no oil cooling will there be heating problem
As there's no ABS will there be any problem
What's this complaint 2 valve instead of 4? What are the real life implications of that?
Any third party cooling system post buying?
Any input from users?
Also when i actually used the breaks on the bike at around 60kmph, the response for some reason was much better than any other bike i have ridden (haven't ridden any ABS bike though). Again, about oil cooling. FZ25, just like FZ16, Fazer etc is air cooled. I'm probably confusing oil cooling with the liquid cooling tech NS200 or avenger 220 has. I have a friend who has both FZ16 and Avenger 220 oil cooled, and he swears he couldn't ride long distance on FZ due to heating, but travelled 700km+ from Hyderabad to Nashik with his Avenger because of its oil cooled engine. Again, the BHP numbers on FZ isn't something i care much about. I'm mainly in it for the reassuring ride quality and how the FZ responds to my position on the road. I'm just worried about the engine needing cooling down on the highway when I want to rev for extended periods of time and 100km+ distance. Could you give me an idea, from your experience, how a 250cc bike like FZ25 will behave after 80–90kmph for 2+ hour on a national highway? Any precautions / suggestions etc?? Esp about the heating of engine?
