The so called first copy that you are bring offered could possibly be a custom made bent pipe with only a screaming eagle end can. Also, in case of performance exhausts, it is important that you go for the original one as the copy might actually result in a dip in performance. The ones sold by HD are properly tested and also wont affect your warranty or anything. I know of few bikers who had custom exhausts put from outside and later their bikes were flagged by the manufacturer and they could not get any warranty claims.
