I purchased Gixxer SF 2017 FI a month and a half back. In the beginning, it was all fine, but after 15-20 days, it started giving screeching sound from the rear disc brake, whenever applied. I went for the first service and told them. I don't what they did but for 1-2 days, no sound at all. He told me to clean the disk every day. I did but still the same sound. I don't know what is wrong. It was about cleaning, then why no sound from front disc?
Check if there's adequate gap between the disc and the brake pad. If the brakes are too close, then the unnecessary friction might be the problem. I don't think cleaning disc is done everyday normally. It's just the service guy giving excuses. Do check the brake pad distance. I think it is mentioned in the bike's instruction manual. Hope this helps. Cheers!
