It's been a month since Auto Expo 2016 and I was glad I could visit the stalls on Day 3. Since I haven't been to an expo before, I can't comment on how smooth this edition went by. But from what I could see, there were just too many people for my liking. I guess I should have come on a Monday as I heard it was less crowded on the weekdays. But still it was a good experience seeing concepts and cars I've been dreaming of up close. Here are a couple of my favourites from the 16th edition of the Auto Expo. The Hyundai Gran Turismo Concept and that gorgeous model! This concept looked wild in flesh Those three spoke wheels look menacing My first glimpse of a modern Ford Mustang. That nose with the shark fin like elements on the headlamp looks mean The second oldest Mustang I've ever seen. Isn't that Ford Mustand Mach II? This cite little thing called the Honda NAVI. I like its tagline "Whatever It Is, It's Fun!" A more rugged version of the NAVI The instrument cluster looks cheap, but hey what can you expect when this thing costs some 30k-odd rupees. Ecstar Suzuki's MotoGP machine. The Africa Twin's second life. The Audi Prologue concept. A truly stunning piece of sculpture. Renault Sport R.S. 01. The Renault KWID Racer concept The front and rear diffuser and that searing paint of blue. What more could one ask for? Those wheels look gorgeous The KWID Racer came with Alcantara interiors. It even had a hald roll cage and four-point harness (not visible in the picture). This 1970 Datsun Bluebird 1600 SS. I saw a video of it once and all I could hear was that screamer of an engine. This concept roadster by Motormind called the Hyperion 1 blew everyone's mind. And then the of course, these leggy lasses. Would I come for the next Auto Expo? Hell yes!

Not being a carophile, I have had so many of those awkward moments when everyone around me is talking about minute car details/specs and I am standing with a blank face with no idea about what these people are talking about. But then, you never stop learning new things, do you? At the expo, I just did not just learn new things, I experienced as well. From learning about what's under the hood of the Polo GTI to experiencing the iconic Nissan GT-R and the Ford Mustang. And I have to admit, the Honda Navi has completely taken over my heart- to the extent that I am actually planning to buy one soon. Other beauties included- Audi R8 V10 Plus & Chevrolet Camaro. Talking about the glamour at the event, well, Benelli models(both bikes and ladies :P) clearly stole all the limelight. These 7 days(Yeah, I was on a media pass:cool:) have certainly got me close to automobiles. Hope to read more auto-expo experiences by other members. Here are a few clicks from the Expo:
