Congrats on your Scorpio booking. I own two Scorpios - one is a 2006 CRDe 4WD which has now done 1.88 lakh km and the other is a 2015 S10 4WD. Now, many people have asked me why I went and bought a second Scorpio - after 10 years of owning one and putting up with a mixed service experience, some good, some bad. Frankly, I did not find any other vehicle in that price bracket that met all my needs. Service experience has improved at Mahindra now, but it's still not the best. There is a big disconnect between what the company thinks happens at service stations and what actually happens at service stations. At the end of the day, it still depends on the relationships you develop at service stations. Koncept, Noida sector 60 and RR Automobiles in Gurgaon are pretty decent service stations. Sterling is OK, but not consistent. As for the vehicle, it is well built. Don't worry too much about it. Just make sure you service it regularly and get every little thing attended to. The new Scorpio is leaps and bounds better in terms of handling and ride quality compared to the earlier one. Even NVH levels are really good - the new one is pretty silent and has fewer vibrations. As for registering it outside Delhi, I don't think you would have an issue driving it in the NCR region. That is, if you have booked the 2.2 litre one. The state is quite lenient with vehicles registered in other states, unlike in Karnataka, where they take a stern view of it. In Delhi-NCR you could also think of booking the 1,997 cc version - there's no change on power or torque, just a 200 cc difference in displacement. Since you already have booked your car, don't worry too much about it. And yeah, give us a shout if you ever need any help with the Scorpio - we've got quite a few owners around.

I have recently booked my Scorpio S6 Plus, but as ban imposed on diesel vehicles 2000cc & above by supreme court can anyhow impact my driving on Delhi, NCR Roads as my SUV will be registered outside Delhi RTO but I will be driving same on Delhi, NCR roads. Also I'm not so sure for mahindra after sales support, like how they support on mahindra day to day issues as I have gone through some very negative ownership experiences on different portals. Add on feedback about Scorpio will be bonus if you can advise on it.
