A popular comedian and prankster from the UK, Simon Brodkin, apparently disrupted a speech at the Volkswagen stall at the Geneva Motor Show today, during a presentation on the new Volkswagen Up! (or as Jeremy Clarkson pronounces it - up exclamation mark). He targeted the German brand for its emissions scandal. BBC news reported that Brodkin, dressed as a VW engineer, walked on to the stage while Volkswagen board member Jürgen Stackmann was making a speech and said he has a new cheat box and “no one needs to know about this”, even proceeding to install it! The production spec of the much awaited supercar killer Koenigsegg Regera, was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show 2016 yesterday. For starters, the Regara is a plug-in-hybrid hypercar. Powered by a 5.0 litre V8 twin-turbo petrol engine which produces 1100 hp. And is assisted by three electric motors, which gives an output of nearly 700 hp. [ATTACH=CONFIG]n5749[/ATTACH] The combined power output exceeds 1500 PS, and the torque figure stands at 2000 Nm. The transmission is a Koenigsegg single speed transmission (patent pending). [ATTACH=CONFIG]n5750[/ATTACH] To top this up, the Regera just weighs 1590 kilograms, which gives it a power to weight of 1:1! That is freaking scary. The Audi Q2, a mini premium crossover was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show today. The Q2 is based on Volkswagen's MQB platform. Crisp clean lines and subtle detailing makes the Q2 looks nice! [ATTACH=CONFIG]n5611[/ATTACH] The Q2 measures 4.19 m in length, 1.79 m in width, 1.51 m in height and has a wheelbase of 2.6 m. making it a compact hatch. The Q2 gets both TSI petrol and TDI diesel engines with power outputs ranging from 116 to 119 PS. Q2 comes in both manual and automatic transmission, Quatrro all wheel drive will be available in select variants. Maserati has released a teaser image of their upcoming SUV Levate ahead of the Geneva Motor Show. The Levante is expected to look like the Kubang concept. The Maserati Levante is expected to hit European showrooms in the second half of the year. The SUV is likely to be based on a modified version of the rear-wheel drive platform used by the Ghibli and Quattraporte. It is still unclear why Maserati refused to go with the Jeep platform being part of the Fiat-Chrysler group. The new Audi Q2 will follow the German marque’s new design language that was previewed by the Audi e-tron quattro at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. It is expected to get sweptback headlamps with LED DRLs, a large hexagonal grille and sporty bumpers. The Q2 is expected to measure anywhere between 4 metres and 4.4 metres considering Audi has to make space for a smaller SUV in the Q1. These motors could be coupled with either a six-speed manual or six-speed S tronic or 7-speed S ironic gearbox. Higher variants could also get the option of quattro AWD system. Sounds like a neat little package for our country right.

Volkswagen AG has finally revealed the first official pictures of the upcoming crossover based on the Polo platform. Speculation is rife that the concept may be called the T-Cross. Too bad it won’t be available in India though. Autocar UK has reported that the DB11 will get all-new suspension developed in-house and features double wishbones at the front and rear. Unlike the MX-5, however, the 124 Spider gets a turbocharged four-cylinder petrol motor.
