In the compact sedan segment, fancy a diesel automatic that doesn't burn a hole in your pocket? Then you are left with the Maruti Suzuki Dzire Diesel AMT and the Tata Zest Diesel AMT. Here is Tushar's review of the same, which one is the better buy? Shriniv485 good spot. Thanks for pointing it out. Yes in the city, the Swift Dzire has the worst FE among the cars compared. But the markings for the overall FE figures are right.

Thanks Albert_Arul. Like Arjun said, the reason I did not add the Etios in the comparison was because it is not a sub-4 metre sedan. However, it is priced similar to the cars compared here. The only problem with this segment is that most of these cars are now fast becoming a favourite with fleet owners. The amount of DZire, Amaze, Etios and Xcent cabs in Delhi is not even funny. Soon, this will dissuade a lot of people from buying these cars.
