I would not suggest the Honda Navi for you. The Navi would not give you the better fuel efficiency that 100-110cc bikes provide, it does not provide you with the power 150-180cc bikes provide and also it does not provide you the utility the scooters like Honda Activa provide. The Navi is a new concept, and its just a bike for people who want something that is fun and not boring as an Activa. I believe the college going crowd is the main target for it. I would suggest you to go for a 110cc commuter bike like the Honda CD110 Dream or Dream Neo. This would give you long term reliability, very good fuel efficiency and also better utility as it would be able to carry 2 people more comfortably and can also be used for little longer commutes very comfortably. Otherwise, even the Honda Activa would be a good option, if fuel efficiency is not that big of a deal breaker for you. The Navi is a upcoming vehicle and an upcoming segment. The response to the initial booking has not been great, and its difficult to predict the market response to it as its an entirely new category. In case it flops, you may end up having a bike which has lack of spares availability. As you are looking for something long term, I believe the 110CC bikes by Honda or the Honda Activa are safer options as compared to the Navi.

Arjun, I am comfortable with foot braking and gear shifting pretty much.As far as usage, i would be mainly using for commute purpose only. The traffic in my city is not heavy too. It is a semi urban place here. As far as budget is concerned, I am looking for a long term one. I m a bachelor now. So a vehicle for long term purpose is what i am looking forward and a vehicle with decent mileage will do the job for me.

Hi Siddharth, The Honda Navi would be a good bike to start, but the vehicle is not exactly a bike. It has the engine, gearbox and the basic frame from the Honda Activa. To give you a better answer, it would help to know how comfortable you are with geared motorcycles. Are you comfortable shifting gears and braking with the foot? Do you live in a over crowded city and commute in heavy traffic every day? Also what kind of usage are you planning for? Are you planning any highway drives or is it only city commute? Also, please specify the budget you have decided for the bike. These things would help us understand your need and recommend you a bike accordingly.
