Hyundai may or may not be developing a new Santro for our market, but we do know that a new Verna is around the corner. The current generation of the Verna has been on sale since 2011 and has already received two major updates. With the competition getting fiercer, Hyundai has realised the need for a new version of the Verna to regain lost ground. While Hyundai hasn't given any details on the new Verna, we can assume that the silhouette of the new car will be similar to the current model. Expect the new version to be little bit more angular and look a lot like the upcoming Elantra. Hyundai calls the new design language ‘Fluidic Sculpture 2.0’. The next generation Verna is likely to use the same set of engines as the current generation but there are rumours that an all-new 1.4-litre turbo-petrol motor mated to a DCT gearbox could also find a place under the hood.
