After Dominar's competitive pricing, other bikes look expensive for what they offer, don't you think? Also, I think launching their flagship models won't do much for the market as the prices will be stratospheric anyway. Not to mention the service reach. I also heard TVS is finding it difficult to meet the quality standards that BMW is expecting and that's why the launch is getting delayed.

BMW Motorrad has delayed the launch of the G310 R yet again. Earlier, it was expected that the new roadster co-developed with TVS would be launched in April. Now, it has been decide that BMW will bring in their flagship motorcycles first which include the K 1600, R 1200, R NineT, and the S1000. There are no plans to launch the smaller capacity 800cc motorcycles as well. One reason why BMW has delayed the G310 R could be the fact that the bike needs 95 octane petrol, which is not readily available in India, or at least till next year when it will be sold across outlets in Tier II cities next year.

NikilSJ I'm pretty sure KTM will trump (Dammit, Trump has really ruined this word for me) BMW in terms of technology. And no, the BMW G 310 R is not a twin cylinder motorcycle but a single cylinder one. Interestingly, the engine is tilted to the rear for better mass centralization and lower centre of gravity. I think the G 310 R will be more pleasurable to ride while the Duke will be much more exhilarating.
