  • Maiden All India Meet - Pajero Owners Club India (POCIN)

The largest online club of Pajero owners and enthusiasts in India - The 'Mitsubishi PAJERO Owners Club - India' - in short called POCIN, is organizing its maiden All India Meet at 'Kanha National Park (M.P)' between 14th to 17th April 2016.

Proud Pajero owners will drive their favorite vehicle along with their families from various parts of India to form three major convoys - one from North (Delhi), another one from West (Mumbai, Pune) and the third from South (Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore). Each of these convoys will drive between 1000 to 1500 KMs to assemble at Kanha National Park, where they will enjoy various activities and togetherness including light off-roading activities, Jungle Safari and 'Saludo por Pajero' - an inaugural convoy drive saluting the locals. There are various contests and fun activities planned to keep all participants’ engaged & enthralled at all times.

The convoys will take halts at Orchha and Nagpur enroute to Kanha and engage in fun & frolic as well as local sightseeing before proceeding to Kanha National Park.

Around 75 participants have registered for the event. The members of the group are conducting this event on self-contribution basis on no-profit no-loss basis. The team is very enthusiastic and is raring to go. Group's online forum is abuzz with lot of planning, creation of souvenirs designs, event memorabilia etc. Participants have been meeting and getting their vehicles prepped, shopping for equipment, running over the checklists and so on and so forth.

The combined list of gear that the group shall be carrying will hardly leaving anything desirable! From roof mounted tents, to CB Radios, to heavy duty winches - you will see them all. However, don't compare it with extreme Off-roaders pls...we are not that! Top end gear for photography and capturing videos has been assembled. The range of DSLRs & lenses including Go-Pros being carried should not disappoint anyone. Some of the vehicles have even opted to go the beauty parlours and get makeovers done. They now boast of new paint jobs, new set of legs (read rims and wheels), even nose jobs (snorkel) and so on.

This event is first such major event for the group but God-willing will pave way for a much larger canvas.

We request all members of Zigwheels to bid us 'bon-voyage' and be with us as we will share details, learning, experiences and glimpses of our event with you all.

What a wonderful initiative Arun Gupta . I'm eagerly looking forward to a lot of photos and videos from this drive. Hope you get to see some tigers too. How many Pajeros do you expect to show up finally?
        Drink coffee and drive!

Thank you Roshun. You bet you will get some wonderful stuff for the next two months from us. Lots of competitions have been planned including best snaps, best travelogue and best videos. So there won't be any dearth. We are taking heavy gear. Not less than 10 DSLRs and every lens that was ever made for the purpose. :-) As far as number of Pajeros - this being the fist time, we decided not to go beyond 25. That should be fine for now.

Hey Arun Gupta how was the All India Pajero Meet. You must have had a layover at Orchha right? I've heard that place is beautiful as my friend keeps raving about it. Would like to read details of the trip and of course some beautiful pictures.

              Arun Gupta
              Hi Mr. Arun,
I would like to get an advice and guidance regarding buying a Pajero Sport 2015 SUV.
The model is 2015 Pajero Sport 2.5 MT, 4x4 68000 KM First owner driven . The agency at Mumbai is asking a price of 19Lakhs.
As I am not good in judging the aspects of Pajero sport and price but due to a passion would like to buy a Pajero . ( I cant afford the new vehicle as its own road price is almost double of my budget, so going for Second hand vehicle .
              1. What the lowest price I can offer for this vehicle ( they claim no accident, no flood, good condition. Is there any other parameters we need to check for the excellent condition of the vehicle ? )
As you own Pajero model , I would like your advice in price ( the lowest price) and other guidance to check the parameters of the vehicle for its excellent condition . Expecting your valuable comments ..
              Thanks in advance,
              Dhanesh

Dear Dhanesh, First of all, I must say its a good decision. I have owned a few cars. A Santro, Accent, Toyota Carina, Indica, Duster, Safari, Honada City, BMW 3-series and a Pajero Sport. No other car has been as satisfying as the PS. It's a sturdy vehicle and a great machine. I have done 52 K and mine is Jan 2015. N problems so far. Except for the regular service and brake pads and tyre replacement...no expense so far. I think the price being demanded is very fair. Whatever lower you can get is additional saving. One of the people in our circles recently bought a 2013 model at 17.75 and that had done 75 K. Another car I know 2015 but has done around 50 K has an offer of 21L. So urs is a very decent price. As far as checking the car goes...u must check the vehicle service history at the workshop they have been taking the car to. Most PS owners go to a single workshop often. Service history will tell u all. I think for 2015, there is not much to check otherwise. If you can get it inspected at the workshop itself...and get their opinion...nothing like it. A look at the engine shud tells you the story of how t has been maintained. Having said all that...chances with this vehicle and a 2015 make are that you should not be having any problem.
