  • Bajaj Launches Riding Community for Pulsar and Avenger Owners

I remember, one of the first reasons to buy my Royal Enfield was the presence of a strong riding community. There were a lot of aficionados sharing the passion of riding and that was present only with the Royal Enfield brand. But slowly, the number of riding communities grew and the passion for riding diversified to riders riding motorcycles of other brands.

Now, Bajaj has launched two riding communities- one for Pulsar RS 200 owners called the Pulsar maniacs (I really hope they ride responsibly, unlike the name ) and The Avenger Gods (TAG) for Avenger owners. As expected, both the communities will be organizing weekly breakfast rides and long distance in the presence of expert riders and proper backup. As of now, the riding community will be having its presence in the following cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, Hyderabad and Kolkata. The Avenger Gods will be organizing long distance trips under the theme 'Feel Like God (FLG)' and the first FLG trip will be from Chandigarh to Tirthan Valley to Chandigarh, with 15 Avengers on board for the ride.

Commenting on the launch of the communities, Sumeet Narang , VP Marketing, Bajaj Auto said, “The group riding phenomena is taking off enormously, however a large section of customers stay away from it because of safety considerations. As the market leader in the sports segment, we are committed to keep abreast of customer trends. We have now put in place the entire required infrastructure to enable Pulsar RS 200 and Avenger customers to experience the fun of group riding in a safe and professional way”
This is a good way to get more enthusiasts to prefer Bajaj bikes as it offers opportunities to meet up, ride with like-minded people. It feels good to see the Indian Motorcycling scene mature. Bajaj fans couldn't ask for a better gift on the World Motorcycle Day! Way to keep the rubber side down!

Praveen I totally get the advantages of group riding/driving. But, I still prefer to go solo or with limited number of friends on a road trip. Reasons being - Convoy driving, irritating fellow riders, inability to just stop/go, stay wherever & whenver we feel like. Especially, when I had the old Enfield, it was a bliss to just explore these unknown spots in Kerala alone. The bike and some nice scenary was all I ever needed

JijoMalayil True that! Riding in groups is only enjoyable when there's disipline. I remember in one of my group rides, lot of people were rookies and no one followed the formation. It got worse at traffic signals where everyone started clustering at the front, completely ruining the formation in the process. There were riders cutting in, overtaking without permission and the entire ride was a carnival of chaos! But if one follows proper discipline, it could be a really enjoyable ride! Ideally, it is better to ride with someone you trust; someone whose riding pattern is familiar to you. It works really well. by the way, one of the things in my things-to-do list is explore Kerala on a motorcycle. I am sure it will be a supremely rewarding experience!
