Took a test drive of the Honda Jazz, VW Ameo and Suzuki Baleno. Heart says Ameo, tech reviews for Baleno, quality for Jazz. Again, which one should I go for? Your replies can help me to choose. VW cars have high maintenance costs, but since my heart is with Ameo, I am confused. Your suggestion, please.

The space on offer and features are also decent. I would also ask you to try out the Tata Tiago before making a final decision. Tiago feels much better built, dynamics, equipment on offer is impressive and at the price, it is offered, it is a great VFM product. Test drive both cars back to back. Do post your reviews after that.

[/QUOTE_NODE] VW cars do have higher maintenance costs when compared to Suzuki/ Honda cars. But, if your heart says Ameo, I suggest you go for it. All these new cars come with 3 years warranty, which is extendable up to 5 years. Plus they also have maintenance packages, that significantly brings down the cost further. I suggest you talk to the VW dealer asking them to give a break-up of the exact service costs and intervals for Ameo and figure out the various service packs on offer. Are you going for the diesel variant?

[/QUOTE_NODE] If your heart is set on the Ameo, then go for it. Which one did you test drive - the petrol or the diesel variant? Compared to the other cars you have mentioned, the Ameo has the added advantage of a large boot too. Personally, if maintenance costs didn't bother me much, even I would choose a VW over the others. They are solidly built and safe.

Lokesh naidu Hyundai Tucson, if you are okay with a five-seat SUV, which kind off fulfils all your said requirements. The diesel motor is extremely powerful and returns decent fuel efficiency. If you want a comfortable seven-seat MPV/SUV, check out the new Innova Crysta 2.8 and the Tata Hexa. Have you test driven any of these?

If you are looking for an SUV under Rs 25 lakh, then like JijoMalayil suggested, go for the Hyundai Tucson. The Tucson is a great car for the highway and can tackle most broken roads that you can throw at it. CorsaVeloce was driving a brand new 2.0-litre diesel Tucson on our drive to Amritsar and he was really impressed by its high speed manners. Things I liked about the Tucson were the spacious cabin (the front seats are sublime and the cabin feels very German), the ride quality - doesn't bounce around like other traditional SUVs and the features on board (dual-zone climate control was simply blissful). Take a test drive of the Tucson and I can guarantee that you won't come back disappointed. The only downside is that you can only get five seats.

I am planning to buy a crossover for mostly city commute and occasional long drives. I am interested in buying a petrol variant of Ford Ecosport however there are new entrants which I do not have much information for comparison. Can you please suggest how Ford Ecosport fares against Honda WRV or Maruti Suzuki Brezza? Which one is the best among the three? Thanks in advance.
