  • I am currently using a WagonR, and am used to the high seating position and the expanded view of the road I get from this car. I want to upgrade to a premium car, which would give me a similar view as a WagonR and a high sitting position. With a budget of 10lacs, which is the most reasonable upgrade? ( Am not keen on sedans) thanks everyone in advance for their advice.

    • gnsudheer I don't think to wait for both the vehicles would make sense. As far as the WR-V is concerned it will get the 1.2L engine. And the Brezza will get the 1.0-litre Boosterjet engine. The WR-V is just the crossover version of Jazz. And the Brezza won't appeal with its interior. Ecosport has an edge. With great interiors and two engine choices, take your pick. Plus top class safety. I'll recommend Ecosport.

      • Hello guys, we are planning to upgrade our car. Right now, we have the zip plus edition of the Santro. We are looking to for a change sometime soon. Can you guys please help me with this? There are a lot of options available and it's really hard to decide the best amongst them. We are a family of three.
The car's usage would be mostly restricted to the city and we might the highways rarely. We don't want to compromise on the driving comfort.
We might be doing around 100 km a week and not more than that. Our budget is around Rs 9 lakhs. We are looking for a petrol car as our usage is restricted. Considering all this, which car will best suit our needs?

        • [QUOTE_NODE]"Originally posted by Siddhesh_Vijay_Patil" Please advise which offers more value for money- Baleno Zeta Diesel or Ciaz VDi (o). I need to use car for next 10 years. Driving will be in Mumbai and around Maharashtra actively 3000km per month [/QUOTE_NODE] If back seat space is not an issue and you are not chauffeured around, I would suggest you stick to the Baleno. It would be easy to drive, more efficient and will cost less on maintenance. Have you test driven the vehicles?

There are multiple options here.

If you want a fuss-free ownership, good features and cabin space, the Vitara Brezza makes a good case for itself. But it only comes with a diesel engine. If you enjoy driving, the Ecosport will surely excite with its great diesel motor, steering feedback, driving dynamics and features on offer. Maintenance costs maybe a bit on the higher side. But Ford claims that it is cheaper to own than the corresponding Maruti Suzuki Product. You can check out this thread to know more about Ford service costs. I suggest you test drive both the cars and see what fits your requirements. Do post your feedback after that.

                • Akhil Prasad Okay, a petrol car makes sense with the mileage mentioned. I would suggest you take a look at the Suzuki Baleno and the Honda Jazz. Both get an extremely spacious cabin, excellent features and peppy engines. Both come with an option of a CVT automatic gearbox which is responsive and fuel efficient. Do test drive both vehicles and see what fits your requirements better. Do post your feedback.

                  • I am confused in selecting a car for me. My daily running is 80 Km. I don't want to purchase Maruti Cars. I like Honda Amaze S Variant, but there is approx Rs 2 lakh difference between Petrol And Diesel. Anyone, please suggest me which car I should buy?

                      • Confused between Polo and Baleno. What are the safety features these two cars have? I need a robust car with good safety features.

                        • Karthick_Kumar, are you looking to buy Petrol or Diesel? In terms of build quality and toughness, the Polo wins over the Baleno hands down. But it only makes sense in case you plan to buy the GT TSI or the TDI variant. In case you are looking for a regular petrol hatch, I would point you towards the Baleno as it has more usable space and is cheaper to maintain as well.
                          No traction, more action!

                            • JSuprabhat The older Fords used to have bad resale value, but with the newer models, like the Ecosport and the Figo, the resale value is comparable to Maruti Suzuki cars. You can expect anything in the range of 50-60% of the value of the car after five years, provided that you have maintained it well. If you like the Ecosport, I suggest you go for it. What variant are you looking at?

                              • JijoMalayil Ford Ecosport or Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Well, my budget was around Rs 6-7 Lakh, which went for a toss & I stretched it to 9.1 for Brezza Vdi{o}, however, due to long waiting period I have shifted to Ecosport. Now question I need help on is to decide the variant of Ecosport b/w Ambiente & Trend of all the additional features I am stuck only on ABS & EBD.. Is it a gud idea spending 70K only for ABS as all other features are not much of my requirement. (Body colour mirror/steering control/front grill/rear power window). Thanks for you revert in advance.
