  • Car under 6 lakhs

I want to buy a new car and budge is 6 lakhs approx. My options are Tata Tiago and Hyundai Grand i10 Sportz , petrol version. Can you please suggest the better one?
I drive mostly in Traffic(Hyderabad resident) to office and occasionally in highway for long drives

Mahesh812, this has been a question among a lot of new car buyrers as the both the cars are very well equipped and come as great value for money prospects. The choice between these is dependant on whose drive you enjoy more. The Hyundai is lighter to drive which could be a good or a bad thing depending on what you prefer. The Tiago is great package from TATA and is also a nimble handler. Check out this thread on the Figo vs i10 vs Tiago, should help you. And this one on Celerio vs i10, should help you.
    No traction, more action!

In the specified budget, you the get the top-end XZ trim with comes feature loaded. XZ variant will cost you Rs 4.81 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the Grand i10 Sportz which misses out on alloys and ABS and will cost you Rs 5.67 lakh (ex-showroom). Drive both the cars and see what suits you the best. Do post your reviews.

Mahesh812 of the two cars you have shortlisted, I would pick the Tata Tiago. The reason I like the Tiago over the Grand i10 is because the top-end trim comes with features that you normally see on cars that are a segment above. Tata has done a really good job with the Tiago and I can safely say that the Tiago is Tata's first car that has been built to global standards. Of course, there are still doubts over Tata's service experience and network, but the company claims that it is far better than before. We had reviewd the Tiago a couple of months back. Here's he link: https://www.zigwheels.com/forum/post...indepth-review Hope the review will help you decide. The Grand i10 too is a very good product that is also supported by Hyundai's vast service network. However, they have become a bit too common these days and doesn't feel as special as before. A new facelift is on the way by the way. So if you decide on the Grand i10, I would advise you to wait for the facelift to launch. Tiago offers you great VFM and is fun to drive. The steering has got better feedback, the engine is fairly responsive and Corner Braking Control (CBC), designed to distribute braking force during braking whilst cornering) on the Tiago makes it more fun to drive. Here is the review of the same done by Zigwheels.
