The customers in India will benefit from an all-new sports package as standard which will offer sportier handling, This is the most technologically advanced Mustang ever. The car will also get driving modes including a track mode. An OEM first electronic line-lock for locking the front brakes so to help do donuts or heat up the tyres will also be on offer.Last edited by NikilSJ; 28-01-16, 03:27 PM.

Even though Ford hasn't announced the price for the Mustang yet, I expect it will be priced on the north side of Rs 50L. That'll indeed make it a good proposition as it will compete against BMW's Z4, Audi' TT, Merc's SLC (yet to be launched). Wow, have you ever thought of the day when Ford competes with the Big Three right here in Indian soil! I'm getting impatient.

I have been a HUGE Mustang fan, right from the 'Eleanor' days. So when I heard about this event, I had to get in!! Somehow managed to talk my way into the event, and not belonging to the media or the partners side, it was hard. After so much effort, I was rather disappointed as the Mustang wasn't launched, but showcased to the Indian Media and Partners' of Ford India. The car is spectacle to look at, right from the retro design cues to the ultra-modern interiors and the beast of an engine, I couldn't get close to the car but I could see from a distance that oddly (for a launch event), NOBODY was allowed to come close to the car, with goons guarding it like it was the kohinoor!!
Another disappointing bit of yesterday's event was that some of the officials who weren't even sure about the specs of the car!! I do not want to name anybody, but even with the prompt for the MC, the management on stage were getting confused with the engine capacity and other details of the car while addressing the gathering. Not expected from a brand this big, while showcasing their most iconic cars in world automotive history.
Also, the event seemed more like a display of the Ford Endeavour for the Delhi crowd, as the launch was held in Mumbai due to the current ban on big-diesels. All in all, not quite sure why this event was held, when Ford could have unveiled this at the Expo. Now it seems they do not have much for us to look forward to at the Expo.

konarktyagi it's confirmed. Ford has started inviting journos for media drives. I think it's supposed to happen at the BIC a day before the launch.
