• Hyundai Creta vs Mahindra XUV 500

I am currently using Hyundai Verna 1.5 CRDI. I want to buy a new SUV for which I have shortlisted 2 options: 1. Hyundau Creta SX 1.6 CRDI 2. Mahindra XUV 5OO - 2.2 Ltr W6 Please suggest which SUV should I choose. I am confused between them. My focus is on Performance, Maintenance, Build Quality etc.

hksdel@hotmail.com This is quite intresting, on the basis of build quality both the cars are great, the Creta, however, has a little edge because of some niggling issues faced with the pre-facelift version of XUV. Now on maintenance, Hyundai offers you a 3-year warranty with unlimited kilometres. However, Mahindra offers you a 2-year warranty with limited kilometres. It depends on you what you wan't a crossover or a body on frame sort-of. If your family is not that big, I'll advice you to go with Creta. Happy motoring 😊

hksdel@hotmail.com They both are mated to a 6-speed AT, the Creta is a bit more refined when compared to the XUV. But as I know, Creta comes with AT in the SX trim and not the SX(O). So you'll lose some minor things. On the other hand, the XUV is refined too and you can lower the NVH by changing the stock tyres.

Hksdel, if you do not need seven seats, then go for the Creta. It is a much more refined car than the XUV500 and the automatic box is one of the best in the segment. The older XUV500 had some issues with it, but the facelift seems to have fixed most of these. If you want a big, burly SUV with seven seats go for the XUV. However, if you want a comfortable SUV that will mostly be driven in the city, then the Creta is the best choice. Being a Hyundai, you won't have to worry much about service quality as well.

yash222 I would like unto tell that the creta's cabin is a bit dated and dull, XUV gives you the feel of a Real SUV. Creta is a baby suv and dont deserve to be compared with the king XUV. XUV got 40 world class features and i wanna ask u that do creta get anyone of them.

hksdel@hotmail.com sir i would have surely recommended the XUV but since you are going for the lower variant, I would then also recommend u the XUV being a proud owner I know the smooth Mc hawk engine, which is slightly better than the punchy creta's motor
