In today's digital age where camera phones are as common as they are it's hard to keep things under wrap, especially something as big as a car.

This thread is to keep you up to date with the latest spottings of upcoming cars/bikes in the wild!

Let's start off with the 2017 E-class, the brochure got leaked online accidentally by the portal www.Auto-presse.de and was pulled down shortly but not before a LOT of sites managed to their hands on the images.

The 2017 E-class looks like the love child of the C class and the S class, I have to say it doesn't look bad but at the same time it doesn't look at unique as the BMW/Audi cars across segments ( they look different but at the same time you can see clearly see the DNA in the design philosophies of the cars respectively)

The new E class will make you look twice; to check if you spotted an E class or a C class

On the inside however it looks proper lux! I MEAN LOOK AT THOSE REAR SEATS!!! HUBBA HUBBA

personally I'm a bigger fan of how Audi has executed the digital instrument cluster, Merc panels seem to flat/squarish from a design perspective.

I dont think they have the S class ambient lighting feature ( else I'm sure they'd have been a shot of it in the press release)

Since design is not universal & doesn't appeal to all kind of buyers, Merc. shouldn't have gone the Audi way. Audi has made a very less difference in A4 & A6 models. Why would someone buy a expensive car which resembles its face like Junior. Not to forget it does has cues fro elder sibling but still not differentiating. Its a matter of debate whether Merc. has done a good thing or not.

The Suzuki Ignis is about to be launched in Japan, and the brochure has been leaked before its launch. This gives us an idea of what to expect in India as well. The car is likely to be showcased at the Auto Expo in Delhi next month. Here are a couple of images from the brochure:

What the brochure reveals about the Suzuki Ignis specifications is as follows:

Length: 3700mm
Width: 1660mm
Height: 1595mm
Wheelbase: 2435mm
Ground Clearance: 180 mm

Boot space: 258 litres (seats in place) / 415 litres (rear seats folded)

Engine: 1.25 litre petrol (likely to have the 1.2 K series in India)
Power: 91PS @ 6000 rpm
Torque: 118 Nm @ 4,400 rpm
Transmission: CVT (may be 5-speed manual for India)

We are likely to only get the front-wheel drive variant of the Suzuki Ignis crossover, although in Japan it is an all-wheel drive. If there's any vehicle that can give the new Mahindra KUV100 a run, it will be the Ignis. More images of the Ignis HERE:

I like the Ignis. Sort of reminds you of the old Maruti 800s, especially the boot lid/ glass hatch.

Spotted: Bajaj Qute (Bajaj RE) The Bajaj Qute was recently spotted testing in Trivandrum, Kerala, by indianautosblog.com reader Prashoy C L. The quadricycle, which was codenamed the Bajaj RE, was unveiled on September 25, 2015. According to moneycontrol.com, the Supreme Court has given its nod to Bajaj Auto to produce and sell the quadricycle in India. Meanwhile, the Qute has been on sale in Turkey for sometime now, says the IAB report.

Bajaj Auto is currently testing the vehicle in Tier II cities and metros to gauge the performance of this little four-wheeler. The Bajaj Qute, powered by a 217cc single-cylinder water cooled DTSi engine with 4-valves, weighs in at around 400kg dry. The motor mated to a 5-speed manual transmission puts out 13.5PS @ 5,500rpm and 19.6Nm @ 4,000rpm. Top speed is limited to 70kmph. Bajaj will launch the Qute in petrol, CNG and LPG variants. Bajaj plans on exporting the Qute to 16 countries. So it will be available in both RHD and LHD variants too.

Praveen the Maruti Suzuki Ignis' C-pillar apparently harks back to the Suzuki Cervo, a small Japanese kei car which made its way to the UK later and came to be called as the Suzuki SC1000 and called fondly as the Suzuki Whizzkid.

After taking the Mahindra KUV100 for a short spin and coming back impressed, I just can't wait for the launch of the Ignis. I think it would be a worthy competitor to the Mahindra KUV100. In Japan, the Ignis' can be had with an all-wheel drive version as well. While its unlikely that this version would be launched here, I reckon it would definitely be a hoot to drive.

Spied: Volkswagen's sub-4 metre sedan Ameo

The Volkswagen Ameo was spotted without camouflage for the first time. The sub-4 metre sedan will be launched at the 2016 Auto Expo.

Call me a sceptic, but I frankly don't see the point of a compact sedan like the Volkswagen Ameo. I would pick a Polo hatchback any day over it, or go the whole hog and pick a Vento if I wanted a boot. I don't want a Polo with a stubby boot stuck on to it. Now, what intrigues me is the pricing - they can't price it above the Polo, because there's the Vento there and it goes into a price bracket beyond the Dzire's and Amaze's of the world. They would have to price it along side the Polo, just to cater to the "sedan" buyer, a car for those who just must have a three box, boot space notwithstanding.

Yes,I too don't see why there should be a compact sedan that looks like a hatch back that itself is 6-7 years old and which already has a proper sedan based on it .Polo/Vento are already overpriced so pricewise even with the tax benefits they can't sell it in the range of other compact sedans like Amaze,Dzire,Sail,zest,aspire,xcent and so many more.and prospective buyers would opt a polo or vento based on their purposes.who are they targeting???

True. I guess there is some registration, excise and custom duty savings to be had with the compact platform that allows vw to price this hatch cheaper.

Our government excise rules have given rise to some pretty hideous creations otherwise as well, just to try and offer every conceivable body style, including 7 seaters under 4 metres in length. And now with the ban on diesel engines over 2 litres likely to stick, we'll see another bunch of larger cars with miniature engines coming in. Yep, the future is 'bright'.
