Top Contributors of the Month

We love your posts on the forum and think it is high time we reward you with some goodies every month for your effort. Starting August, we will send out goodie bags to the top FIVE contributors of the month on the forum. And that's not all, you will find your name showcased on our home page as well.

What's in the bag?

Stickers for your car.
A comfortable polo T-Shirt.
A branded water-bottle.
A multi-tool keychain with torch and screwdrivers.

Here's how the top contributors of the month will be decided:
* Points will be allotted (2 points per 100 words and 2 points per photograph uploaded)
* Travelogues and owner's experience threads will get an additional 10 points (for those more than 1,000 words)
* Other unique threads started will get 10 points each (these should not be duplicates of existing threads in the forum, which in-house moderators will keep a check on. Moderators will, at their discretion, move or merge threads as required if this happens)
* Only posts that have over 100 words will be counted for this points system.
* The top contributors display on the home page will be updated every day and the points tally
* Once the winners for a month have been announced, their names will not appear in the tally for the next month. BUT YOU WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR A BIGGER PRIZE FOR THE TOP CONTRIBUTOR FOR 3 MONTHS. The points will continue to add up, and the top contributor for 3 months will be announced, besides the five monthly winners.
* The weekly leaderboard will be updated here including the monthly tally as well as those vying for the 3 month prize.

This thread will be updated with the names of top contributors as well. Top Contributors will be notified by email and you should send your mailing address to forum@zigwheels.com for the merchandise. Moderators' decision on top contributors will be final and binding.

Yes Arjun, all included except me, Nikil, Jijo, CorsaVeloce and Praveen, since we're the ones building this (and have access to goodies anyway ;-) )

10 days into this top contributors tally, and this is how our leaderboard looks as of noon on 12/08/2016:
1. Ronny - 158 points
2. Joy MRC - 95 points
3. MotuSid - 27 points
4. Arjun - 23 points
5. KaiserKetkar - 18 points
Another couple of weeks to go, let's see who makes it to the top. Remember, 2 points for every post (per 100 words), 2 points per photo, 10 additional points for travelogues and ownership experiences, 10 points for unique threads.

It seems my points are fluctuating. Are the points calculated on immediate posting or updated later? As I posted my owner experience thread, I could see 75 points in my panel, but to my surprise when I logged in in the morning it was 156 that shifted to 158 & then now its 157.

Your points are still 158 as of now Ronny. The points tally is refreshed automatically every two hours. Some posts are moderated for language / typos, so it's possible that a point or two may change depending on the extent of moderation.
