  • Automobile Ads - The Awesome ones & The Awful ones

Automobile Advertising is as old as the automobile itself. You know it takes effort to convince people to buy something which is an expensive buy, depreciates from day 1 and needs regular spends during ownership.

Let's share some of the best/bekaar (a la ET Brand Equity) ads from the Auto Category:

Let me share a few classic Indian Ads to ignite nostalgia to start with.

    1. First one has to be a Bajaj "Hamara Bajaj"

2.Here is an old MRF ad

    3. When RE used to do TV Commercials

    4. Can't afford to miss Scorpio [SuperMod Roshun's fav car]

    5. Not to forget HERO Honda CD 100 from 90's.

    6. I'm sure y'all will remember this one from Maruti [The Kid is Amar Upadhyay from Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu thi]

n00b Wow! This post is a goldmine! All aboard the nostalgia train! Good thing Royal Enfield is staying away from advertising.
So, the phrase 'Fill it, Shut it, Forget it' was used by Hero Honda before it was cool!
    Keep the rubber side down!

Praveen This is perhaps the coolest add I have ever seen. But, this car never came out in India. Maybe Peugeot was just promoting the brand I guess. How offended would have HM been after seeing this ad Some say this ad was banned after a short while.
